Aaron Static

Aaron Static, born in Port Hedland, Australia, is an exceptionally talented electronic music producer and DJ who has been captivating audiences for years. Initially drawn to electronic music through Perth's University Radio Station 'RTRFM' in the late 1990s, he developed a passion for early genres like Jungle, Drum & Bass, Hardcore, UK Garage, Progressive Breaks and Trance. Aaron quickly gained a reputation for his own productions and DJ sets around Perth in the Rave scene, often performing Drum n Bass "Live PA" gigs with his 486 DX2-80. Many hard drives succumbed to the bass vibrations at huge events around Perth organized by MFI and others.

After many years in the Perth scene, including early Tech-Step Drum & Bass releases on Argon Records and Neurofunk on his own Kinematic320 imprint with Rregula (now part of Zombie Cats), Aaron moved to Melbourne in 2006. His sound has diversified extensively, blending elements from Techno, Tech House, Deep House, Breaks, and Dubstep in his productions. He launched his debut album, "Singularity," in 2009, exploring themes of the coming AI singularity and its impacts on society. A diverse and varied album that shifted away from his DnB roots into new territories and BPMs.

Aaron's music career continued to flourish, with his next album "Redemption" showcasing his versatility in various electronic genres like Chillstep, Future Garage and Autonomic Drum & Bass. The album received vast global recognition via YouTube channels including MrSuicideSheep and MOR Chillstep among others with hugely successful tracks like "Amen Tune", "Severance", "Intrepid Journey" and "I Won't".

In late 2019 just before the pandemic hit Aaron released his most seminal album to date. "Shifting Tides" focused on finding an escape from the chaos of the modern world through beautiful and relaxing music, resonating with listeners worldwide. His Future Garage single "When We Love" on Slime Recordings gained immense popularity, with almost 2 million plays on Spotify and counting.

After "Shifting Tides" Aaron has made a triumphant return back to his Drum & Bass roots with a number of successful releases on Melbourne labels onesevenfour and Delight as well as recently taking up the reigns of Shadowhearts Recordings where he plans to present the world with his vision of a Drum & Bass with equal parts darkness and lightness reminiscent of the 1990s label that was his greatest influence growing up; Moving Shadow.

MELTA’s bold & gritty selections have quickly earned her a respected place in Naarm’s bass music community. A true bass fiend to her core, when she’s not dishing out girthy rollers you’ll find her front row on the dancefloor.
She’s supported international heavyweights Jappa, Napes, T>I, Pola & Bryson and Annix and also performed festivals Touch Bass, Esoteric & SubTerra in VIC as well as Eden Festival (NT).
Her style flows from minimal & liquid to chunky jump up, rollers and jungle as well as UKG, dubstep and bassline, with a particular fondness for high energy & dark drum & bass.
Her unique selections are guaranteed to keep the floor shaking and your body moving.
A vocal advocate for the broader community, she’s buried in bass both in front and behind the scenes, curating immersive local and international events with her own brand SUB:SOLAR and coordinating events with the Twisted Audio team.

Rex the Bard

Born from her desire for constant background music, Drum and Bass producer Rex the Bard makes high-octane tracks for the everyday. Described as “warehouse lounge”, “aggressive waiting music”, “non committal rave music” and “the best Teen Wolf inspired music there is” this is music that dictates a vibe, not attention.
Nothing if not experimental, when Rex the Bard isn’t making drum and bass, she creates future garage, glitchy footwork, lowkey breakcore and seapunk.
Infusing her tracks with every facet of her personality, from hit 90's CD Moods to subpar-at-best supernatural teen dramas, hopefully this bard will give you some inspiration!

NIIX

Influenced by all styles of UK Bass Music, NIIX is an eclectic record spinner mixing between the realms of 100 - 174BPM.
Hailing originally from the UK but now residing in Naarm, she prides herself on dark, techy blends and genre bending between Techno, Breaks, UKG, 140, Jungle, Footwork & DnB.
She has played at several well known venues such as Brown Alley, Section 8, Max Watts (to name a few) and has supported a number of international producers - Dimension, Grafix, Ivy Lab, Culture Shock, Skeptical, Phibes, Turno, Cesco + Bushbaby. Additionally, she has graced the stages of various festivals including Esoteric; Subterra & Subspace Subterranean (Flavius). She has also represented her sound on Area3000 & DnB represent Radio Stations.
When she's not DJing you can find her co hosting events and pushing local talent under her event moniker Pulse Audio.

Skatty is a Wellington-born, Melbourne-based DJ who blends deep atmospheric drum and bass with 140 beats, blending sounds that are immersive. With a focus on mood and vibe, his sets have earned him spots alongside artists like Friction, Vibe Chemistry, and Rova. When he's not behind the decks, Skatty co-runs Abyssal, a collective in Melbourne that pushes deeper melodic sounds. His approach is all about crafting a space for people to get lost in the music.
