Holy s**t, THANK YOU Hoshi Events and Max Watts for last night!

The visuals crew did a smashing job with the lasers and lighting, the sound was impeccable - and Josh Paton leading the Rave crew on the floor was a joy to watch!

I ran up no less than 11 of my own remixes last night - and goddamn it was amazing to see the reactions, especially to just-released songs like my ASGORE remix or older songs like my Chemical Plant Zone - you all rock!

A few quick highlights from the sound desk view of some favourites, from berdley and Asgore to super Hexagon, chemical plant zone and worms, this was a huge celebration of gaming music right across the spectrum 😁

This marks 3 years running of playing PAX afterparties, from Fortress in 2024, to Glitch nightclub in 2025 and now Hoshi in 2026 - each time I have been honoured to share the stage with the incredible Jadeabella - but this may be the last time for a while!

But who knows what the future will bring ❤️

Can't wait to share more from this amazing night as the days go on, there was some INCREDIBLE photography going on from Nick and I have some awesome camera views - plus, obviously, the full set audio 😈

I'll release this on YouTube once the *cough* unreleased song I played at the start *cough* is out 😉

Big or small, I don't care about the crowd size at , it's about how you interact, and the afterparty at was epically good fun!

I've learned to work with what I have while doing this show - that can mean unexpected gear, burst dice, no visuals (or all the visuals!) - and crowds ranging from 8 to 80 or more, it doesn't really bother me anymore!

What matters is getting people involved and making everyone who IS involved part of the adventure - after all, YOU are helping write this story!

I wonder what effect playing along with the council of blood will have in future raves? Hmm.

I took The Rave RPG - Matt Frequencies to FORMAT Group FORMATGG in Liverpool last weekend! This was the Friday session - opening the event, so let's not go too hard right?

37 squats later, I had regrets. An absolutely giant thank you to Jo Joy and Ed Templer for holding down the fort when I nearly went down for the count behind the decks!!

The lesson learned here is: gym contributions need to be collaborative, Rave wide 😂 maybe someone in the middle of the circle swaps out after 5 reps!

This thing is ALWAYS in development, even for a big overseas event - I never know what's going to happen, but I can tell you it's always chaotic fun, and I'm grateful to have been able to bring it! I'll be sharing some of my favourite moments from the afterparty tomorrow 😁

Never in my wildest dreams!

When I did that very first mix of an epic orchestral war track into DOOM E1M1, never did I imagine that three and a half short years later i would be doing the same thing but with my own live transition effect work with an amazing LIVE VIOLINIST (), halfway around the planet, at Europe's biggest gaming nightlife event ().

Its been an incredible journey so far, and there is so much more yet to tell and do - the power is out here today, but when it comes back I have stacks of video from the weekend to edit and share, incredible moments from and my heart is so, so incredibly full right now.

Thank you to everyone ❤️ particularly , without who there would be NO Rave RPG and no Matt Frequencies!

This was SO MUCH FUN thank you !

Let's do it again sometime, working with you on stage was great, loved your energy and communication!

Also, damn if that isn't one of the more technical bits of bulls**t I've pulled off recently - managing the video changeover at the same time as a technical transition - yes, I had all the key points of what I wanted to do written down on a notepad (thanks for posting about that recently as a reminder!)

Breakdown of the transition:
- set up ROLL channel effect for 1 beat, ready to hit go
- set up CRUSH colour fx ready to crank down
- hit channel effect start right as song finishes
- stop video playing (to prevent autostart on next)
- add crush filter
- crank roll time down and load next song
- keep cranking until it caps out, hold for a sec
- smack start on next song and next video at the same time, pull down channel with fx on it immediately

Yes I took a moment to celebrate getting through that one 😂
