Jo Llewellyn Celebrant has spent 25 years working as a childhood educator. It was her daughter who first said "You'd be so good at this."

Jo thought about it for a year before she registered with Rose Training.
She completed her training in 8 months, all while working full time.

She was authorised in February, and in two weeks, she'll take on her very first wedding, a referral that came through a family connection, a couple linked to someone Jo already knew through her daughter.

Jo says she's feeling nervous but confident. That mix is normal. It's also exactly what a couple wants standing in front of them, someone calm, capable and genuinely invested in getting it right.

Jo trained under Mark, one of our Rose trainers, and credits the support along the way for helping her feel ready to take this step.

Her story is a good reminder that celebrancy doesn't require starting from nothing. It often builds on a career you already have, and the people who know you best.

5 practical, little know facts you need to know for your wedding/reception.

1. Pack double-sided tape to fix slipping dresses or loose hemlines instantly.

2. Assign a phone guardian to capture behind-the-scenes phone photos all day. (These could be very funny to look back on after the event)

3. Bring flats for dancing to save your feet after the ceremony. Trust me, your feet will thank you!

4. Hydrate between every drink to stay energized and avoid a hangover. (Hopefully)

5. Create a family photo list so group pictures take ten minutes. (Saves alot of time)
