What a wonderful morning we had this week at Nexia Aged Care in New Gisborne ( ).

With daffodils bursting into bloom across the farm, we were delighted to bring armfuls of spring sunshine to share with residents during a flower arranging workshop. There were beautiful creations, lots of laughter, and even better conversations as everyone put their own unique touch on their arrangements.

Thank you to everyone who shared in the experience. Watching your flowers find pride of place throughout the centre was the perfect end to a very special morning.

Flowers really do bring people together πŸ’•

One of my favourite signs that spring is finally arriving is the morning mist.
Around here, we've developed a very scientific forecasting system:

If the mist rushes out of the valley, it could be anything.
If it hangs around, taking its sweet time before lifting, chances are we're in for a brilliant day.πŸ’•

Who said all daffodils are yellow?

While the golden classics will always have a place in the garden, daffodils come in a surprising range of colours, from creamy whites and soft apricots to delicate ivory and blush-toned combinations.
Just another reminder that spring is never quite as predictable as we expect.πŸ’•

The seasons keep us busy in different ways.

Planting. Growing. Harvesting. Preparing.

There is always something happening on the farm, even when the flowers aren't blooming. Each season has a purpose, and each one brings us a little closer to the next bouquet.πŸ’•

Seedling Update
This tray might not look like much right now.
But hidden in these little green leaves are hundreds of future bouquets.
Spring can't come soon enough.πŸ’•

Favourite Flower Question
Let's settle this.
If you could only have ONE flower in your garden, what would it be?
Mine is still a dahlia (although I change my mind weekly) πŸ’•
