Many Australians will remember Angus Beaumont.

A young Queensland boy whose life was tragically stolen far too soon.

In the years that followed, Angus's parents courageously fought for justice for their son and became advocates for change, helping bring attention to concerns surrounding youth crime, accountability and community safety.

Now this family is facing another devastating tragedy.

Their family home has reportedly been destroyed in what police allege was a targeted arson attack.

🏡This was not just a house.

❤️It was a home filled with memories of Angus.
❤️Photographs.
❤️Personal keepsakes.
❤️ Treasured belongings.
❤️A family's history.

🚩Reports have indicated there are fears even Angus's ashes may have been lost in the blaze.

🚩The attack has also reportedly impacted the family's livelihood, destroying vehicles, tools and equipment connected to their gardening business.

🚩For a family already carrying the unimaginable grief of losing a child, the loss of a home and precious connections to their son is heartbreaking.

Today I am asking Australians, particularly the Redcliffe and Queensland communities, to stand beside the Beaumont family.

When tragedy strikes, communities have a choice.

We can look away.

Or we can come together and help carry the load.

L.A. Frozen Yogurt we finally got over to visit little Leo and his little family's business while visiting family 🌼🌼 strawberry Frozen Yoghurt was the best with a touch of Vanilla. Everyone got to enjoy a chill afternoon with some delicious sweet. Even our baby loved her treat with daddy💜

Pick ups can be organised as orders are arranged 🐣🐣

We absolutely loved being apart of this amazing weekend event last year whilst being heavily pregnant 🤰 I definitely spent the week after this event with my feet up 🌻

Excited for this year Spring Festival 🌻🍂✨️🥰

The numbers are in, and Council’s 2025 Laidley Spring Festival bloomed bigger than ever! 🌸🌼🚀

From increased parade entries to greater cross-collaboration from various community groups, Council’s premiere event continues to strengthen and grow 👇

🌷The Spring Garden Fair welcomed almost 5000 attendees through the pavilion
🎫Under 5’s Day experienced a significant increase with more than 970 ticket registrations
💮Spring Orchid Show had a 5% attendance increase, and a 15% rise in sales from 2024

The community’s enthusiasm for this event seems to grow each year, and we are so proud and thankful for helping us turn this festival into a major drawcard for our region!
