Make an upcycled pride postcard with us!

Artist Lucian .Flow guides us in adding lino prints, textures, words and illustrations to explore the fluidity, complexity and labels we inhabit as part of our identities.

Together, we acknowledge the labels we've taken on or discarded. Shedding the weight of expectations so we can live authentically.

What happens when you give people space to co-create?
When you *listen deeply* to their story and in doing so, *validate* their humanity?
What happens when their contributions are valued?

You build connections and joy.
You create space for humanity, not perfection
And you allow people to share hope.

This is what happens when we allow ourselves to create, not for the outcome.
But to allow ourselves to share a part of us that no words can express.

In a world that wants us fragmented and distracted, connection *is* rebellion.
Art and creativity is the practice.

Today and every day we commit to standing up for our fellow LGBTQIA+ community members.

Discrimination is one of the leading causes of poor mental health, substance abuse and suicidality among the LGBTIQA+ community.

Discrimination, assault, harrassment happen on a daily basis. This is

In every program, march, event and activity we run - we centre pride. 🏳️‍⚧️
We create opportunities for people to feel welcome. Valued. Seen. Heard.
And create space for self expression and connection.

Because we know how important it is.

So today on May 17 - we reaffirm our commitment to standing against discrimination.

It's us!! And supporting one of our favourite community orgs and the kindest people behind it Tammy and Athol from Formally Ever After Qld Inc.

As a Safe Space 🌈 they are an inclusive, affirming space for every student who doesn't feel comfortable or can't afford their own formal clothes.

We love supporting other safe community groups in Logan and as they go this one is one of the best 💖

Our next AGM is upon us!
Join us on Saturday, 30th May 2026 at 10:00 am,
Meeting Room 1, Logan Hyperdome Library.

At our AGM, you’ll learn what we’ve been up to over the last year, and what our plans are for the future of Logan arts.

Considering become a member? Then this is where you’ll learn if it’s right for you.

It’s also a great time for voting members to have their say by electing the new management committee to lead our org into the future.

Using your vote
In order to keep continuation of knowledge and expertise in our org, only have of our management committee are up for election at one time. This year the Secretary, Treasurer and Vice President are up for election.

Have your say on who leads Assorted Grains into the new year by making your nomination.

We welcome diverse voices from different cultures, backgrounds, identities and people with a disability, plus First Nations and Torres Strait Islander people’s as part of these roles.

Nominations for board positions must be received by Thurs 14th May 2026.
Proxy votes can be completed by 11:59pm Friday 29th May to be counted.

Learn and connect with LGBTQIA+ Safe Spaces in Logan!

Join us at the Logan Art Gallery for a relaxed evening bringing together LGBTIQ+ professionals, allies, and local business owners for meaningful conversations and new professional connections.

The Safe Spaces Logan initiative was born from a belief that feeling truly welcomed and seen, included and valued in your own community saves lives. But for it to work - people need to know about it!

So, we've teamed up with Ross from the LINK-UP NETWORK to help raise awareness and much needed support to run this vital program.

Best of all, they're donating 10% of profits to the Safe Spaces Logan and Loud and Proud Logan!
