This is what it’s about. The joy 🫶 the people I get to meet along the way. The love. Running through a recipe I’ve said I’ll come and make so you can too - meanwhile my daughter is off running around with their animals. I love meeting people along the way, being invited - honoured to come and cook and create for you. It’s the ethos I always dreamt of, bringing everyone together, like old friends in a kitchen with a w**e and a little bit of this and that from this market and that butcher. It signifies one whole. “1Food” Very fortunate to have met the beautiful people I have.

We made some cured duck yolks, with some of my mushroom soy, tamari and flaked Tasman salt. These cure to the point of being spreadable, and as you see them stabilise the colour of the yolk edges changes from vibrant orange to a crystallised golden. You can’t go wrong spread on some toasted sourdough, but a tartare, pasta..

Something that started on the back of a mystery box with a few years and a child inbetween, I am forever grateful for what 1Food has become. Thank you 🤍

It’s either local or out of the garden.. as a result, the menu may change slightly due to seasonal availability.

Is it just me or does the sunshine and the day starting to draw out just give you that little boost I think we all needed after what’s seemed like the longest winter.. anyway, this meal pack is still comforting, a little welcome Spring with spuds, carrots and a few other goodies straight out of the garden.

Father’s Day weekend 2026. Sat 5th and Sun 6th Sept 🫶
Inspired by some of the fires, feasts and the simplistic beauty of cooking outdoors with the elements. Think local meats, signature menu - rendered lamb fat taty’s, Mushroom Culture gourmet fried mushies, local meats, homage to the father figures and producers we work closely with in our lives that have taught us what family is, surrounded by food - good times and damn good w**e (and Tassie b**r, of course). 🍷
