We were blown away by the landscapes, history and sheer vastness of this part of Australia.

📍 Silverton feels like stepping into the Wild West. Grab a chicken curry pie from the Silverton Bakery (easily in our top 10 pies around Australia so far 🤤), check out the Mad Max Museum, Emu man art gallery and don't miss sunset at Mundi Mundi Lookout.

📍 Cobar is packed with mining history. Visit the Big Beer Can, explore Heritage Park and learn about the town's fascinating role in Australia's mining industry.

📍 Broken Hill is full of character, make sure you visit the Line of Lode Miners Memorial, explore the historic streets, and take in the views across the city and surrounding outback landscape..

Far North Queensland is truly magical… flowing waterfalls, rainforests, coastlines. Travelling FNQ in April has been a great time to explore I highly recommend!

One of the most scenic boardwalks just 1.5 hours from Sydney! 🌊

Stretching along the coastline between Terrigal Beach and The Skillion, the Terrigal Boardwalk offers stunning ocean views, rugged cliffs, and plenty of photo opportunities along the way!

Once you’ve finished the walk, head to the new Terrigal Pavilion for a drink or bite to eat and soaking up the waterfront views. 🍻☀️

Just 3 hours from Cairns you can visit one of Queenslands most unique natural wonders!

Formed around 190,000 years ago, the Undara Lava Tubes were created when rivers of molten lava flowed across the landscape, leaving behind an incredible network of underground tunnels that you can still explore today.

Due to rain the lava tube was full of water (only happens every 10-15 years!) and you can wade through the water in the tube. It’s incredible!

Recommend 2 days here, and stay at Cobar Caravan Park book via G’day Parks. Spacious sites, fire pit and walking distance into town. We loved this historic mining town, definitely a must do on your outback adventure!
