Wind, wind and more wind. Did I mention there was wind? 😂🌬️

But honestly, who cares when you’ve got this beautiful piece of paradise at Freycinet to say “I do”? The hair and veil might have had other plans, but we were getting these two married!

Then I swapped my celebrant hat for my MC hat (held onto both, obviously) and stayed on to help keep the celebrations rolling. Such a special day, full of love, happiness and… yep, wind.

Maybe it was the universe’s way of blowing kisses. A little enthusiastic, if you ask me, but we’ll go with that! 💋 Can't wait to see the photos has taken of this one. Stay tuned for more.

A beautiful day for a micro wedding at Cataract Gorge. Sunshine, gorgeous scenery, a couple ready to say “I do”… and a peacock who thought we’d all come to watch HIM. 🦚

And honestly, fair enough. Tail up, feathers shimmering, everything fluttering and vibrating. A full production. No rehearsal required.

Enter Ms Peahen.

She played it cool. Acted as though she hadn’t even noticed him. Which is quite an achievement when someone has opened an entire outdoor umbrella in your direction.

Then, just as we were about to begin… she decided she WAS interested.

Very interested.

Right. Well. We were here to celebrate love, but that felt a little outside my job description. 😳😂

Never work with children or animals, they say. Yep!

Having made his first romantic connection, he started advertising for another. Luckily for us, this meant his magnificent tail became the perfect ceremony backdrop.

He was busy. We had vows to get through. Everyone got on with it.

Our lovely couple were happily married, shared their first kiss, and as their guests clapped, our feathered friend joined in with a VERY loud honk.

Apparently, he does the ceremony backdrop AND the reception entertainment.

Still waiting on his invoice. 🦚😂 It was a day to remember!

Okay, I’m sure I’ve mentioned before how much I loooove a Glendale Estate wedding! 😍

Is it the beautiful scenery? Yes.
The fact that it never seems to rain when I’m there for a wedding? Yes — bonus!
The atmosphere? Absolutely.
Those stunning new renos? Um, YES!

And Kaila and Jesse, who work their backsides off to make sure every detail is covered? Hell YES!! 🙌

Put all that together, add a gorgeous couple and a whole lot of love, and you’ve got a pretty fabulous way to spend a day.

That was yesterday! Another Glendale wedding wrapped up — and another reminder of why I love what I do. 🤍

How perfect was yesterday – and I’m not just talking weather!

Fitzpatricks Inn in Westbury provided the most traditional setting for a wedding that was anything but traditional. We’re talking swords, handfasting, a knight awaiting his bride and a little magic everywhere you looked.

Guests embraced the theme with costumes and accessories, the atmosphere was electric and every detail was so beautifully and thoughtfully done.

And the dress!! Wow. Absolutely breathtaking.

It was unique, enchanting, full of fun and completely unforgettable. What a privilege it was to be part of something so special. I can’t wait to see the magical photos from Marty and Nikki – Love & Thunder .au

Spring, Surprises and Secrets were the order of my weekend!

On Saturday night, I had the absolute privilege of being part of Amy and Jake's "engagement party"... NOT!!! Because it turned into their wedding!

What a wonderful surprise it was, making this beautiful little family officially legal in front of everyone who means the most to them. More fabulous photos from the very talented Kayla Byard to follow soon.

Then on Sunday, I legally married two of the loveliest people before they head overseas for the beautiful wedding celebration of their dreams.

Two weddings, one very big secret and a whole lot of love - spring has definitely sprung! 💞

The gods have whipped up a bit of wind for today's ceremony at The Bay of Fires, but we won't let that ruin the day. What a place to celebrate love ❤️

Saturday was a big one for me. One filled with more emotion than I can quite put into words. This time, I wasn't standing up to conduct a wedding. I was there to conduct a celebration of life.

It was tough, to say the very least and certainly not something I ever imagined facing when I became a marriage celebrant. But when I decided that celebrating life also meant honouring it at the end, I knew there would be days like this, although nothing could have ever prepared me for this one.

Five months ago, I stood alongside Jullian and Ali on the happiest day of their lives. On Saturday, I stood before so many of those same people, gathered again under circumstances none of us could ever have imagined.

The room was filled (and I mean filled to capacity) with Jullian's nearest and dearest and so many people who were proud to call him their friend. It was emotional, it was uplifting in moments, and it was completely exhausting.

No one wanted to be there, yet no one would have been anywhere else.

Rest peacefully Jullian Rodman. You will always be loved and so very sadly missed.

Well it was a windy one today, but it was oh so beautiful. Spring Bay Mill at Triabunna with guests from the Gold Coast and New Zealand enjoying (um maybe) a crisp winters day here in Tassie.

But honestly, would you want to be anywhere else? That's a hard no from me! Can't wait to share some more photos of this special day soon. Stay tuned 🤍🥂🍾🤍

I seriously fell in love with these two superstars! What a wedding this was! Beautiful, different, elegant, funny, emotional, casual, relaxed and completely stunning…… absolutely everything all rolled into one unforgettable day.

Now, most couples are happy to skip over the “if anyone objects” part of the ceremony, but not our Ella! She specifically requested it be included and let’s just say there is a reason why it’s skipped. 😂 But objection was noted and thankfully love won the day and the ceremony continued with plenty of laughter all around.

The magnificent Vaucluse Estate hosted the ceremony and breathtaking still doesn’t even come close to describing it.

I thought I’d miss our pre-wedding catch ups once this magical day was over, but Ella and Shane have kept in touch and hopefully this is a friendship that will last forever. Everyone needs a Shane and Ella in their lives - how lucky am I xx
