Just letting Everyone know that you can purchase your Tickets for the Australian Fishing & Outdoor Expo in Bendigo on the 7th & 8th of November online from this Tuesday the 1st of September, via our Trybooking site or at the door on the day.

You can purchase tickets for the Saturday, or the Sunday or you can even purchase a weekend pass - online only.

Remember children 12 or under get in for free, but they must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Every online ticket purchased goes into the draw to win a fantastic prize each day.

I have a question for you.

I recently spoke with a mate about other ways to raise funds for a project I’m working to get off the ground called “WIMMERA REEL MATES”.

WIMMERA REEL MATES is an event for men focused on mental health and wellbeing. Its purpose is to bring together local mental health services, established men’s mental health groups, and everyday men from across the region for a relaxed weekend away from the pressures of children, partners, and work. Fishing is the hook: men can fish if they want to, or simply sit, talk, and share a drink with a mate. With three out of every four suicides in Victoria being men, and the Wimmera having experienced more than its share in recent years—including three men I called friends—this event is very close to my heart.
The goal is to create a safe, supportive event where men with shared experiences can connect and see that help is available if they choose to reach out.

In addition to seeking business support for auction items, my mate suggested auctioning two tables at the function—one hosted by Merv and one by April. In simple terms, nine people would have the chance to sit with Merv or April for the night. Bidding could start at the cost of a table of ten, for example $600.00, and increase from there.
