Grounded Sound is proud to be partnering with AudioMap to host a free demo session of this exciting new audio analysis software.
AudioMap’s workflow guides the user through a series of measurements which it uses to calculate a full 3D sound field of an audio system in a space. This provides an unparalleled level of detail and insight into the listening experience at every position in the room.
Boasting an impressive suite of inbuilt DSP and correction algorithms audiomap provides a comprehensive array of options for optimising to a single mix position through to venue wide averaging based on user definable audience areas.
Other features include using impulse response analysis to locate and isolate early reflections for targeted acoustic treatment, calibrated level monitoring and spectrograph and export capabilities of DSP programs for many common DSP systems.
We will get an advanced look at the BETA of V2.0 with company founders and developers Steve Gadeley and Emmy Schmidt.

I’d just like to take a moment pay my respect to all the awesome women blessing our ears in the Tassie doof scene, particularly in bass music, right now. Pretty much all my favourite sets of the summer were from women. A non exhaustive list of shout outs below roughly in the order i saw you play. You’re all killin it. I cant wait for more.

It’s been a great month of doofing for Grounded Sound and the SH96HO rig.
Honeypot Gathering was likely the most continually pumping dance floor we have had the please to provide sound to. Remember to pack your dust mask for the next one.
Then Multiverse Festival saw the first deployment of our new rigging tripods. The stereo imaging and even coverage throughout the spectrum was super impressive. We think they look pretty cool too.

Shout out to Candy and Corey .lx_ and .sometimes for making the stages look so damn pretty.

Support act #3 - FLOWYO 🔥

Raised on a healthy diet of Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, and Faithless, FLOWYO’s passion for electronic music was sparked early. Discovering doofing at 15, Yo has been a key force in the lutrawita (Tasmania) underground, with two decades of indoor and outdoor performances under various aliases. As founder of Thloop and co-founder of Project:01 and Synergy Festival, he has hosted and supported many national and international artists, and performed at several mainland events. Now, FLOWYO emerges as a resynthesis of parts, uniting all styles under one banner.

FLOWYO's diverse and exacting tastes span a broad palette of genres, leading him to craft unique journeys for any dancefloor. A deep affinity for low-end frequencies merges with vocal pop and hip-hop sensibilities, delivering powerful yet fun bass sessions. Currently focused on bassline, breakstep, and new-school deep dubstep, FLOWYO’s sound is constantly evolving and ever on the cutting edge.

RVNKNG lives somewhere between the club, the gutter and the grave. As a project, it’s rough, impatient, and never really following a logical next step. Just a pile of cracked records and bad habits that somehow make disjointed sense. Back to the roots of pre-loved turntables with thumbtacks for needles, spinning white labels within an inch of their life. Jungle, Breakcore, Liquid - Insert other DnB genres here.

Opening up this Saturday's rave from 9PM we have 7CDS!

7CDS is a DJ and Producer from Nipaluna/Hobart, Who has a passion for bringing the UK sound to Tas. From Uk Garage to Jungle, Dubstep/Dub, House, Bassline, and many more he brings a wide variety of genres for the Hobart local scene.

7CDS is known for collecting Dubplates and rare music the common punter hasn’t heard whilst bringing you classic samples, sounds and vocals you’ll be sure to recognise.

Tearing through a vibrant underground scene the past two years, 7CDS has well and truly carved out a place for himself among the Nipulana/Hobart nightlife, consistently playing gigs for Club Revel, Gunfingaz and Reload Selecta club nights.

7CDS boasts an impressive support portfolio including one of the biggest names in UK Bassline known as DJ Q. Some of Australia’s biggest up and coming producers and DJs such as Osmosis Jones, Club Angel, Isgwan, Prizefight, Roska, Trustee and Samuel. 7CDS also takes part in a duo called “Ruff ‘N’ Ready” who has headlined for Club Revel.

As well as being a DJ, 7CDS produces his own music with a few self releases such as “ Somewhere Dub” And "Money On Tha Dressa" being featured on a collective called “BlueDollarBillz”.
