🦋✨ The Giant Moths Brought the Magic ✨🦋

One of the most enchanting sights at Solstice in the Square was watching the illuminated moths drift gracefully through the crowd, creating moments of wonder beneath the winter sky and the Hall.

A huge thank you to Indie School George Town for bringing the ethereal moth puppets to life, for their creativity and imagination in creating such a unique interactive installation.

What a night! 🌙🔥
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us in the rain for Solstice in the Square 2026.

From glowing light installations and crackling fire pits to incredible music, performances, food, and community spirit, Regent Square and the Memorial Hall came alive as we celebrated a winter's night. The weather may have tested us, but it certainly didn't dampen the atmosphere!

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing performers, artists, food and beverage vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and event crew. And to everyone who attended, thank you for embracing the weather, dancing, gathering around the fire, and making the night so memorable.

From helping behind the scenes to supporting event activities, these young people played an important role in bringing the event to life. It's great to see a growing sense of passion, pride, and community spirit in George Town.

Despite the rain, the magic of Solstice in the Square 2026 shone through.

From glowing light installations and crackling fire pits to incredible music, performances, food, and community spirit, Regent Square and the Memorial Hall came alive as we celebrated a winter's night. The weather may have tested us, but it certainly didn't dampen the atmosphere!

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing performers, artists, food and beverage vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and event crew. From the early morning setup to the late-night pack down, your hard work, creativity, and dedication helped create something truly special for our community and visitors.

And to everyone who attended, thank you for embracing the weather, dressing up, dancing, gathering around the fire, and making the night so memorable.

To ensure a smooth entry process, please have your ticket ready with the QR code to present upon arrival. Tickets can be displayed:

Entry Information
🚪 Main event entry is via Macquarie Street.
♿ Accessible access is available via the Graham Fairless Centre entrance.
🎟 Gates sales are very limited via the Graham Fairless Centre entrance between 5pm and 7pm. We suggested purchasing online prior to the gates opening.

For the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, security checks will be conducted upon entry.

What to Wear
🔥 Dress warmly and embrace the winter spirit!
Recent weather means some areas of the event site may be damp underfoot, so we recommend wearing appropriate footwear and warm clothing to ensure you're comfortable throughout the evening.
