A legals only ceremony held on their back verandah, with their parents and pup watching on, is where Ryan and Jamie-Lea said 'I Do' today.

Well actually, the truth is Bently didn't watch as he was too busy looking at his favourite toy that was just out of reach. You'd have to agree though he looks pretty happy his humans are now husband and wife.

Family and friends will join the newlyweds tomorrow for BBQ brisket, a few coldies and plenty of good country hospitality.

Who says flower girls need to be little?

With big beaming smiles, petals flying in every direction (including over the guests) these two FLOWER NANS brought plenty of joy and personality to get the ceremony for Tanicka and Tyler off to a great start.

It also gave the groom something to focus on rather than any pre ceremony nerves, as helping the Nans down the aisle and to their seats was a pretty good distraction.

I'm loving all of these modern twists on tradition that couples are choosing to help their day feel more meaningful to them♡

From all of the laughter, cheers and the enthusiastic guest promise during the ceremony, I left the venue yesterday afternoon knowing the newlyweds were in for a super fun night with their family and friends.

A few little details worth noting from Tyler and Tanicka's day...

The wedding party all sat down during the ceremony. This choice was mainly to disguise the extreme differences in height between the groomsmen but when seated, the wedding party can relax and enjoy the ceremony. It also means the couple really stand out while having their moment in the spotlight.

The groom entered the ceremony on the arms of glamorous flower NANs, tossing petals over the guests rather than the aisle floor which had everyone smiling from the very start.

The sound of violin filled the air pre ceremony and during cocktail hour. Not only does live music sound beautiful, it takes away any worry about walking at the right pace for the wedding party. Theres no risk of running out of music, the musician can always play an extra verse or chorus until everyone is in place.

There were packs of UNO and playing cards set out on the reception tables for dinner time entertainment, a fun idea to encourage guests on each side of the table to get to know each other better.

The venue, Western Ridge | Glamorgan Vale Wedding Venue
has a large barn for DIY receptions but it also provides an ideal backup option for a ceremony in wet weather. Let's not forget the benefit of onsite accommodation in the form of a luxury house, glamping tents and caravan sites with access to modern amenities. This means you all get to party longer and no one has to drive home in the dark.

The mousse tower by emilyybakes looked great and I think its a fab idea for anyone looking for something unique or just not a fan of cake.
