Whanau Tangi details for Tommy Hiri

Kia ora whānau,

The time has come to bring our beloved Tommy home and lay him to rest. We will arrive in Whanganui around 7pm on Friday, 5 December 2025, and will be staying at 28 Kowhai Street.

On Saturday, 6 December 2025, we will gather at Aramoho Cemetery to farewell Tommy and return him to the whenua.

We look forward to being together as a whānau to honour his memory, share our aroha, and celebrate the life he lived. More details will follow soon.

Thank you all for your Aroha and patience during this sad time.

Closing of the casket will be tonight Monday 9 June 2025 at the following times:

QLD - Midnight
NZ - 2 am
Perth - 10pm

Confirmed time for the Tangi will be 11am - 12 noon tomorrow Tuesday 10 June 2025.

NZ - 1pm
Perth - 9am

Confirmed livestream link will be posted later this afternoon, to be confirmed by the undertakers.

The whanau are putting together a collage video.

Any and all photos or short video clips of less than 20secs would be much appreciated.

The whanau will then go through and choose which photos to put towards the service collage but will keep and cherish any memories that are sent.

Details for Tommy’s service and subsequent to follow.

Service at home -Unit 1/410 Marine Parade Biggera Waters 4216.

Tentative time for service is 11am Tuesday 10 June 2025. To be confirmed by the undertakers on Monday 9 June 2025.

Live stream for the service link to be confirmed and posted once we receive it on Monday from the undertakers.

Post service Tommy will be collected by the undertakers for cremation. Family will follow and say last good byes at the crematorium.
