💜 Another private lunch and farm tour today at Barrabool Hills Lavender! 💜

We were delighted to welcome another wonderful group organised by Hesse Rural Health Social Visits, this time joining us from Rokewood and Bannockburn.

What a lovely day filled with curious minds, lots of questions and energetic chatter! They didn't want to leave 😅

It was wonderful to hear so many compliments about our delicious lunch and farm layout. They couldn't believe how beautiful the lavender was shaped which really just happens naturally with our yearly pruning. 🌿

Our visit included:

💜 Smelling and discovering the different varieties of lavender - the pink whimsical wings the favourite
🌱 Learning how to propagate lavender and taking their own cuttings
🪻 Demonstration on how lavender oil is extracted
🏡 Enjoying a walk in the lavender field, visiting our pet cows and sitting in the old chevy farm truck.

Sharing our special property and seeing all your smiley faces, makes it all worthwhile.

🐝💛 A BIG THANK YOU TO WENDY – OUR BEE KEEPER! 💛🐝

Two swarms in one location made for a tricky catch, but Wendy came to the rescue and safely collected our buzzing friends! 🐝👏

We keep the hives here to make sure of no Vorroa mite speading and so far our hives are negative 🤞

Bees are such an important part of our farm, helping pollinate our lavender, fruit trees and gardens. 🌸🌳

Thank you, Wendy, for your time, care and dedication to saving these little pollinators! 💛

💜 Feeling blessed to share our lavender field with a lovely Hesse Rural Health Winchelsea Group for a social supported outing. 🌿

We just missed the showers with our farm tour of the lavender field and enjoyed a yummy lunch, followed by a little gardening activity inside in the warmth. 🌱☔️

There’s something so special about getting your hands into the dirt and nurturing a plant, breathing in some fresh country air, enjoying the peaceful countryside and sharing a few laughs with friendly company. 💜

A simple day, but one filled with connection, nature and a little bit of happiness. 🌿😊

🌧️ 50mm of rain on Saturday at Barrabool Hills Lavender! 🌧️

What a beautiful sight! The dams, pool and tanks are full, the lavender field and the grass is looking wonderfully green. 🌿

We’ve officially upgraded to lake-front property… and it’s now a duck paradise! 🦆

After a good soaking like this, the frogs are loving it too. 💚

Lavender loved the rain and are now in full bloom 💜💜

Our field is still fine to visit for our upcoming events and most of the water has receded into all the farmers dams hooray ☔️
