Get exclusive access to our picturesque lavender field to capture a special memory at Barrabool Hills Lavender.
In Gnarwarre just 20 minutes from Geelong an acre of lavender rows, fully fenced and surrounded by green country fields and eucalyptus trees providing a perfect backdrop. The country atmosphere puts your clients at ease and children love running up and down the rows making very realistic relaxed photos.
Whether you’re after the desirable quality of morning light or the romantic glow of golden hour, our private site will allow you to enjoy the lavender field all to yourself and your party.
Early morning sessions are ideal for relaxed family portraits, baby photos, beloved pet photos and our evening sessions will suit engagement or wedding photos, graduations or portfolio modelling.
Our purple French Lavender starts blooming in September through December and our blue English Lavender blooms from October to January before harvest begins.
This reservation is for one photographer per morning or evening session and can include mini photography sessions allowing a client shared cost.
WHAT'S INCLUDED:
• Exclusive access to our hobby farm during full bloom
• Minimum sessions times 2 hours maximum 3 hours.
• Option to use as mini-sessions eg three 20 minute sessions per hour
• Time slots available 7.30am-10.30am & 5:30pm-8:30pm or as arranged
• Convenient parking and drive to site access
• Fully fenced area around lavender field to keep children and pets safe.
• Staff member to meet and greet clients and show location.
• Option to add fresh lavender bundle for an additional $10 each
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
• Lavender starts blooming in September and is full bloom in October – December.
• We can send photos of progress and previous years flowering to help booking.
• Fees are payable in advance via online banking and if weather causes disruption we can re-schedule.
• No toilets amenities provided (except wedding clients)
• Please be careful of our plants and do not pick flowers
• Please take everything with you, all rubbish, props, dog litter etc (this is a working farm)
• Personal belongings are your responsibility accordingly we are not liable for any losses.
• We have public liability insurance however please ensure your clients do not leave the lavender fenced area as there are uneven surfaces, cow manure, dams, electric fencing and fallen small branches that jump when stood on. Children to be supervised at all times.
• We recommend clients wear appropriate footwear for farm adventures.
• Lavender does attract bees, however morning and evening sessions this will be very light. Bees don’t mind us if we don’t disturb them however if anyone is allergic to bee stings we recommend to choose another venue.
• While pets are not allowed on the farm, we make exception for those inside the lavender fenced area. Keep on lead from cars to field please.
