Schubert's last sonata—the profound final work of the recital program.

Pianist Quang Hong Luu explores its incredible depth, describing it not as the literal ocean Schubert never saw, but as the one "deep within our soul." Written just months before the composer's death at 31, Quang finds not a tragic farewell, but a "deeply touching message" where the "love for life is still evident in every note."

This deeply moving work will bring the concert to its conclusion this Saturday.

Liszt's Venezia e Napoli takes listeners on a vivid Italian journey, from the canals of Venice to the streets of Naples. Pianist Quang Hong Luu guides us through its three distinct moods: from the ‘shimmering sunlight on the water’ in Venice, through a ‘shadow in the heart’ of the Canzone, to the thrilling, rhythmic virtuosity of the final Tarantella.
