Spend Saturday by the marina celebrating one of the things this region does particularly well: local seafood.

Oceanfest brings together locally caught seafood from Bundaberg and Southern Great Barrier Reef waters, local w**e and b**r, entertainment and ocean-themed attractions, displays, demonstrations and workshops.

There’s also a dedicated children’s precinct with rides, face painting, artist workshops and activities, making this one an easy family day out.

One important distinction: the separately ticketed Marina Marquee seafood lunch is sold out, but that does not mean Oceanfest itself is sold out—the main festival remains a separate general-admission event.
