Under the open sky

There’s something special about celebrating outdoors. The fresh air, the open space and the feeling that the whole day can simply unfold around you.

Picture your favourite people gathered together, long tables filled with good food, glasses raised in celebration and laughter carrying through the afternoon.

As the sun begins to set, the atmosphere shifts and the celebration continues into the evening.

A beautiful setting for a day worth remembering at Wallering Park.

Wallering Park gardens were originally planted beside the homestead in the early 1980’s by the Gilbert family. Old marri trees that survive years of farming, add scale to Wallering Park. David, Melissa and family passed Y2K and arrived in 2000. After large vegetable gardens, chickens, dogs, cats and a pet pig, Bunny renamed Bernard, Melissa and David designed gardens. Planting began for the greater Wallering Park gardens, with valued labour, into rich Gingin loam.
Elegant Grand lawn gardens at Wallering Park. Celebrate & Stay.

Wallering Homestead was built by the Gilbert family. Brian was a local cabinetmaker and his bespoke craftsmanship is still evident in the homestead kitchen. Heavy jarrah posts and beams in the homestead were sourced and recycled, from Fremantle redevelopment. The Gilbert family were invested in sustainability and grew many vegetables, hence, the generous walk-in cool room in the kitchen. Cold storage, no problem at Wallering Park. Celebrate & Stay at Wallering Park.

Wallering Park, stretches over 18acres, 10 mins North of Gingin and was once part of the greater Koorian Farm. Wallering Park is surrounded by beautiful grazing and cropping paddocks that rise up to the scarp. The neighbour’s house is a speck on a hillside, far North. Further around the bend Koorian grow olives, figs, avocados and pomegranate. Secluded. Celebrate & Stay at Wallering Park.

More than just the wedding party, guests and family are invited to stay. Between Wallering Homestead, White House (restyled farm manager’s house), cabin rooms, and did we mention glamping? It is a massive logistical win. Family love that the “inner circle” is safe and on-site after the party. Celebrate & Stay at Wallering Park.
