Tomorrow, we'll welcome the 16th Australasian Cystic Fibrosis Conference (ACFC), welcoming experts from across Australia and New Zealand to connect, collaborate and shape the future of cystic fibrosis care.

From world-leading research to multidisciplinary care and lived experience, the ACFC provides an important opportunity to share knowledge and drive better outcomes for people living with CF.

We're looking forward to welcoming delegates from across Australia and New Zealand to Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre next month for the 16th Australasian Cystic Fibrosis Conference (ACFC).

Hosted by Cystic Fibrosis Australia, the conference will bring together leading clinicians, researchers, allied health professionals and consumer representatives to share the latest advancements in cystic fibrosis research, care and innovation.

Geelong, we’ve opened our doors to you, and you’ve welcomed us with open arms.

Recently we were officially opened by Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles and Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

Since then, we’ve hosted two incredible events, The Barwon Health Foundation Gala Ball, our first official event, which raised $10 million for the Barwon Women’s and Children’s Appeal and The Wathaurong NAIDOC Ball.

The fun doesn’t stop there, this weekend we’ll be hosting our free Community Open Day Saturday 11 July. We’ll be working together with local entertainers and suppliers to bring a day of live entertainment and family fun, alongside artisan food, w**e and spirits.

Meet the Artist: Jenna Oldaker – Murrup Art

We are proud to partner with Wadawurrung artist Jenna Oldaker, founder of Murrup Art, whose commissioned artwork Delama Dja (Embrace Country) welcomes visitors to Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre.

Through vibrant colour, cultural symbolism and storytelling, Jenna's work celebrates the richness of Wadawurrung Country and the deep connections between people, place and community.

From the flowing waters that have sustained generations to the sacred hills that embrace the landscape, every element of Delama Dja carries meaning, inviting us to learn, reflect and connect.

This NAIDOC Week, we acknowledge and celebrate the knowledge, creativity and cultural leadership of First Peoples artists who continue to share stories through art.

🌿 Introducing Delama Dja (Embrace Country) 🌿

As we celebrate NAIDOC Week, we are honoured to unveil Delama Dja (Embrace Country), a commissioned artwork by Wadawurrung artist Jenna Oldaker of Murrup Art.

Created for Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre, this powerful work celebrates Wadawurrung Dja (Country) and the enduring connections between land, waterways, sky, community and culture.

At its heart sits a meeting place – a symbol of coming together to share stories, knowledge and connection. Flowing throughout the artwork are representations of water, journey lines, community, sacred landscapes, native flora and fauna, and the spirit of Bundjil, the creator and protector of Wadawurrung Country.

As visitors gather at Nyaal Banyul, this artwork offers a warm invitation to connect with Country, honour the stories held within it, and embrace the shared journeys that bring us together.
