Especially the 2016 Concurs International Valencian competition held in Tasmania where Lady Paella was awarded the 1st Prize Gold Medal and sent to Spain….. Opportunity of the week for our foodie fans!!

This Saturday 29th March 2025, the Kallista township will be celebrating its Centenary in collaboration with the Kallista traders, Kallista Primary school, the Monbulk Historical society, Sherbrooke Art Gallery and many more partners.

As Lady Paella has roots in Kallista with Genies Cafe Restaurant running until 2016, we will also be celebrating and bringing the town our most popular paella dishes as well as our famous Tagine and Nachos.

If you were a local and enjoyed our creative dishes during our management of the beloved Genies Cafe Restaurant, come on down and say hello. We are so excited to be a part of this event and have such wonderful memories of Kallista with our young family and our love for great food.

Cooking workshops coming up!!!!!

The skill of cooking is vital and full of benefits

Our young people today often wonder what the big deal is around cooking, when we have uber eats…. Hmmm 🤔🫣 the reality of one day being in charge of your world and your money starts to slowly set in.

The simple answer today is how much are you spending on food honestly? and is it what your body truly needs? When you ask these questions you begin to grasp the importance of this life skill.

Not to mention employability, cost savings, connection to others, slowing down and meeting some of your own self care needs, creativity, mastering skills, a sense of accomplishment, treating yourself to nourishing and energizing ingredients, understanding the science of food and its chemical reactions, leadership in your home and community, bonding with loved ones, team spirit and collaboration. I could go on but I know you are grasping why it can be important to you too.
