I was honoured to officiate the wedding of Peter & Monika 💕 such a beautiful wedding and a perfect day!

Marriage has its beginnings in love, a powerful emotion that we all experience, with the love between two individuals being the strongest, as it’s the substance which binds a relationship and allows a partnership to grow.

Their story began almost 20 years ago, whilst living in Adelaide. They met at their local watering hole, more formally known as a pub. The bond was immediate, and Peter asked Monika for her hand in marriage 3 weeks later… of course, the answer was yes! Their only wish was to have their family at their wedding, however with their kids spread all over the country, this seemed impossible. Life and circumstances took over and their plans went to the wayside. Almost 20 years later, and a family get together, was the perfect plan to get hitched 💕

I had the pleasure of being the authorised celebrant for Trudi and David and what a beautiful wedding it was.

Their story began at their workplace, 8 years ago and even then they didn’t take life too seriously. They always offered to help each other when needed, they attended the same work functions and talked all night over a drink or two, and brought out platters of prawns and oysters when working the same shifts. Their friendship was professional and plutonic….. until they grew a little more than co-workers as this relationship was destined to turn into a love story.

They have travelled across 14 countries in the last two years. It was during one of the first cruises that David proposed on a perfect evening in Spain. Trudi became suspicious when David started fumbling and stuttering over dinner. Wondering what was happening, David dropped to one knee and blurted out the four words whilst holding what seemed like a large sparkling rock in his hand.. Will you marry me? Trudi was so shocked that she wasn’t sure if she was going to fall off her chair, or overboard, but of course the answer was yes!

It was then that they both realised they had found their one true love and the one and only person they will truly love for the rest of their life ❤️
