Why I started Between The Bright Lights Events...

I've been around long enough to see it - so many unreal DJs who have never had a proper chance to shine. Guys with huge followings on streaming platforms, who live and breathe this music, but never get the call up because they're not in the big cities.

That's why I started Between The Bright Lights.

The name says it all - I want to take rave culture to places BETWEEN the bright lights of the major cities. To Cootamundra, to Canberra, Albury to Mackay to towns that deserve a proper night but get skipped over.

Than the plan is to grow and keep growing with your support to where we can have a headlining name there to get more eyes on other talented DJ's. We are all about shining the bright light on people and places that get overlooked and left behind.

I wanted to create a platform to showcase DJs I know are awesome. DJs with a real love for dance music in all its forms - from Trance to Techno and everything in between. Not just one sound, but the full spectrum of what we love.

For our FIRST EVER event, we're going BACK IN THE DAY.

BACK IN THE DAY RAVE at THE BASO, Canberra
Saturday 5th December | 7pm - 1:30am
Classic Trance / Hard Trance / Hardstyle

Because that's where it all started for us. No safe plays, straight to the hard end, tearing through classics.

I've hand-picked two of the most underrated weapons I know:

7:00 - 9:30pm - Myself, 5TWENTY8 - Warming it up proper
9:30 - 11:30pm - DFM - Bringing the bangers
11:30 - 1:30am - DA AUDACITY - Closing it out hard

These boys deserve a stage and on Dec 5th they're going to show Canberra why.

This is just the start. Between The Bright Lights is about giving DJs a go, and giving the punters outside the big cities a night they won't forget.
