One of Italian football’s biggest names is heading to Perth, with Alessandro Del Piero confirmed as the headline legend for Calcio Italiano this August.

The Juventus icon and 2006 FIFA World Cup winner will lead a major legends program celebrating four of Italy’s most famous clubs, with Fabrizio Ravanelli and Giorgio Chiellini representing Juventus, Christian Panucci and Serginho representing AC Milan, Javier Zanetti and Christian Vieri representing Inter Milan, and Fabrizio Miccoli and Amauri representing Palermo.

Calcio Italiano will bring AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus and Palermo to Perth this August, with the legends program adding another major layer to the Italian football festival taking over Perth.

As another incredible Regional WA Day Festival season comes to a close, we’re reflecting on the communities that came together to celebrate what makes our State so special.

Across Port Hedland, Broome, Karratha and Newman, more than 18,000 people came together to celebrate with live music, local food, family-friendly entertainment, cultural experiences and spectacular fireworks, showcasing the unique spirit of regional Western Australia.

A huge congratulations to the local governments, community groups, performers, suppliers and volunteers who helped bring these events to life. Your dedication ensured communities across regional WA could come together to celebrate local pride and everything that makes our State unique.

We’re proud to have once again supported the Regional WA Day Festival program and look forward to doing it all again next year.

Next stop: the WA Day Festival at Burswood Park this November.

Following the press call, we went in separate directions to showcase Western Australia through a series of tailored famil experiences, each designed to highlight a different side of the destination.

From Fremantle’s Italian heritage and coastal hospitality with Palermo FC, to Swan Valley wines and native wildlife with AC Milan legend Christian Panucci, the itineraries brought WA’s visitor offering to life off the pitch.

Inter and Juventus also experienced the State Buildings before taking part in a Kings Park cultural tour, exploring Noongar culture, storytelling and connection to Country.

A great way to share WA’s food, wine, culture, wildlife and relaxed outdoor lifestyle with some of football’s most iconic clubs.

HYDE Perth is officially open and already setting a new rhythm for the city.

The 121-room hotel marks a defining moment for the global lifestyle brand as its first purpose-built property.

From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere feels both relaxed and electric. Sunlit interiors, hand-laid stone, rich timbers and bespoke furnishings create spaces that feel warm, layered and grounded in place. Every detail invites you to slow down, connect and explore.

Art sits at the centre of the experience, bringing together Australia’s natural landscapes with the energy of music and movement. A curated collection of contemporary Australian artists adds texture and emotion throughout, while moments of storytelling are woven into the design to create a sense of place.

Rooms and suites act as personal sanctuaries that still carry a sense of anticipation. Tactile finishes, sun-washed tones and custom pieces strike a balance between comfort and quiet glamour, creating spaces to unwind, reset and prepare for what the night might bring.

Music continues to shape the identity of HYDE Perth, with DJ sets, terrace sessions and creative programming building a steady cultural pulse throughout the week.

HYDE Perth has quickly become a place to gather, linger and experience the city in a new way. A destination where design, music, art and dining come together to create something immersive, expressive and distinctly Perth.

South Perth is coming to life with colour!

The No More Blank Walls Mural Festival is officially underway, transforming the City of South Perth into a vibrant outdoor gallery until Saturday, 18 April.

Across South Perth, Manning, Karawara and Kensington, artists are painting large-scale murals live, turning everyday spaces into bold public artworks.

Featuring internationally renowned Irish muralist Aches alongside an incredible lineup of local and national talent, this is your chance to see creativity in action.

There’s also a full program of free events, including artist talks, workshops and guided tours.
