Getting ready for a big gig on Saturday where I will be interviewing entrants for the Sydney Rose of Tralee ball. This requires preparation in a nice quiet setting and had a lovely time at Meribella at the Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific. Such a lovely cosy place, nice bar snacks (as well as a full restaurant) and magnificent staff.

Preparation includes going through all the notes and preparing questions and crossing fingers they will be good ones!

The Rose of Tralee is an annual festival held in Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland, where a young woman is selected to be crowned the Rose of Tralee. It's a celebration of Irish heritage, values, and the aspirations of young women. The festival involves entrants from Ireland and around the world, representing communities of Irish descent. The Rose of Tralee festival is a multi-day event with parades, concerts, street entertainment, and more, all celebrating Irish culture and heritage. The festival culminates with the selection of the International Rose of Tralee who serves as a year-long ambassador for the festival and Ireland, attending events and representing the Irish community and the festival.

We are delighted to be involved in the Sydney Rose of Tralee gala ball this year and Tina will be on stage interviewing all of the entrants. Such an incredible group of accomplished and talented young women.

An afternoon picnic at Jubilee Park in Glebe.

Even a small event takes some planning. Some research to find the most suitable place, decisions on what food to prepare and a bit of styling. Not too fancy but enough effort to impress the guests

Dressed up a shabby bench - can never go wrong with a white table cloth. Clear jars with coloured sweets are a jolly accessory.

Every event deserves to be celebrated - it only took a few bits and pieces in the preferred colour to make a pretty table. Catering included grazing platters, traditional brown bread with smoked salmon, bbq vegetable kebabs, good old sausages on a roll and home made brownies - fabulous day and everyone got a goodie bag of deliciousness to take home.

After a quiet few months juggling a variety of work/life, it's full steam ahead with events. Last week we travelled to the beautiful Kangaroo Valley for wedding MC duties. Thankfully the rain stopped and the sun peeked out. The loveliest group of people came together to celebrate the day, travelling from near and far. Delighted to work with Blackwater Irish Band who provided the post ceremony drinks, Prodiscos who got everyone dancing and a fabulous crew at Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat which is the most gorgeous venue and well worth checking out.

Happy New Year! After a trip to the home country then a quiet Christmas due to some horrid bug, am now back!

2025 kicked off with some event planning, working with a community radio station on a high tea cruise to celebrate Nollaig na mBan (Women's Christmas). 170 women gathered on a boat cruising around Sydney Harbour. Such fun and high energy in the room.
