Remember I promised you earlier this week I’d share some more of the magic of Steph & Brandon’s wedding day, created by the incredibly talented ? Well, here it is…💫✨💛

Magic to me is so much more than those anticipated, classic, posed moments. It’s those little moments in between, the ones that no one else sees, the ones that are so sacred between two or three people, the ones that only last for a split second and nearly get missed.
✨ The cheeky and loving look you exchange that only you two know what it means
✨ The giddy mums that have the honour of signing their children’s marriage certificates
✨ The joy in the eyes of the people that love and support you
✨ All the little details that you’ve put months and months into planning right down to the last minute

In my eyes, an amazing photographer will capture these special moments, and these candid photographs are what evokes all of the feels you felt on your wedding day as you look back through them throughout your lifetime. I think Brendan did just that! 🙌

That’s a wrap on 2024….

And WOW, what an awesome year it was!! 🎉✨

I want to say a huge THANK YOU to each and every one of my 2024 couples for choosing me to be the one to marry them. It is not lost on me how special it is to play a part in one of the biggest days of your lives, I will be forever grateful.

One of the highlights of this year was marrying my 100th couple!!! When I first became a celebrant I remember thinking I’d be happy to marry 5-10 couples a year. That number soon got blown out of the water 😂 I feel so lucky to have met 200 amazing individuals along this journey.

Like every year, I have learnt and grown so much and I look forward to continuing to in 2025! It has many exciting things in store, stay tuned!!

My massive month of August has officially kicked off!!

It starts TODAY with hitching the lovely Tiana and Jarred at .farm today, then off to on Saturday to wed the awesome Kristy and Tom.

Ok, are you ready for it? Here are my top three tips for tunes at your wedding ceremony 🎵

1. 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲! This could be through meaningful lyrics, a song from an artist you both love or a genre that holds significance for both of you.

2. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲! Pick music that matches the different parts of the ceremony. Eg. For the processional, you may want a softer, romantic song, whereas once you are declared MARRIED, go for an upbeat, happy tune to match the high vibes!

3. 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤!
I can guarantee you signing will take more than a standard 3.5 minute song and no one likes to hear the same song looped over and over again!

This wedding was a special one!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Elissa and I go waaaayyy back to 2010, when we toured NSW in a kids show as dancing and singing dogs...(don’t ask 🙈🤣)
During the tour we became a tight-knit group for the month or so we were on the road.
We all became facebook friends afterwards and kept in touch that way, but it wasn’t until I received a message from Elissa over 10 years later saying she is engaged and would love me to be her celebrant, that we got to meet in person again! Even though so many years had passed, we instantly felt comfortable and seeing that Elissa had met and started a little family with the very laid-back and kind-hearted Ben was so nice to see.

It wasn’t just me and Elissa’s history that made this wedding so special, but also the presence and involvement of their two beautiful boys....more on that later. They deserve their own dedicated post!

It was Kayla and Rod’s shared love for music that brought them together at a QLD music festival back in 2013. Kayla had just arrived home from a 3 month trip to the US and had every intention on planning her next holiday. But meeting Rod changed her life’s course…for the better!

10 years and two kids later, they tied the knot at the gorgeous , and what a beautiful winters day it was! Mother Nature turned it on for us and the vibes were high from moment the first guests arrived.

The ultimate compliment is when a fellow celebrant asks to officiate their own wedding! 💃

Amy and I met back in 2019 when we were both studying to become celebrants. When I first met Amy, I knew pretty early on that we’d be friends after the course had finished. We just clicked and I knew she was “my kind of person”. So when she reached out saying that she and Cam had got engaged and would love me to be their celebrant, I was over the moon, not to mention so honoured!

Being a part of Amy and Cameron’s special day was an absolute joy, especially as their daughter Holly got to witness her mummy and daddy say ‘I Do’. It was a beautiful celebration surrounded by their family and friends, filled with love, laughter, genuine happiness and unforgettable moments.

Like many modern couples, Emily and Stephen met online. After Stephen having been on lots of dud dates, he felt there weren’t many fish left in the sea. Just as he was about to give up hope, along came Emily!

These guys are the sweetest couple and we shared the sweetest ceremony back in April at Belgenny Farm.
The clouds were looking a bit scary prior to the ceremony but it cleared up and beautiful rainbow appeared just before we began! 🌈

Emily and Stephen engaged an epic team of vendors for their day - Matt on photos, Taz on video, Ben and Vee on tunes and me to get them hitched!
