That wraps a fantastic weekend of the Abbey History Festival, celebrating 40 years of the Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology

A huge thank you to the reenactors, performers, volunteers, stallholders and vistors who joined us across the weekend.

From the stunning weather to the wonderful range of historical periods for all to experience, it truly was a spectacular weekend.

To everyone who has contributed to the last 40 years of the Abbey Museum's story, thank you for your support, including ERMS Group for nearly 20 years of service keeping our events and public safe.

Join Dance Kaleidoscope QLD for an evening of Austen-inspired dance workshops, light refreshments and entertainment from 6pm.

The Regency era is coming to the Abbey History Festival!

Missing our Picnic at Pemberley? Pemberley Promenade will bring Regency elegance to Abbeystowe, with daily maypole dancing, workshops and presentations by Miss Miller.

Regency Tea House 🫖

Book ahead for one of three sessions offered each day. All sessions include tea, coffee, cold drinks, Regency-inspired treats and a special anniversary cupcake.

The lunch session also includes a selection of sandwiches, while the morning and afternoon sessions include a scone with jam and cream.

*The Tea House is an additional experience within the Abbey History Festival and requires a Festival ticket.

A Regency Ball at Abbey 🎟️

Put on your 1800's dancing shoes for a special evening with Dance Kaleidoscope QLD featuring dance instruction and light refreshments. It’s the perfect occasion for anyone who loves Picnic at Pemberley.

*The Regency Ball is a standalone event and does not require an Abbey History Festival ticket.

The Trebuchet is coming to Abbey History Festival - firing daily at the close of the event.
Our friends Cottereaux, Company of the Dagger are firing the Bohemoth for our delight, and with only 30% capacity of the Abbey Medieval Festival, you're likely to be able to secure a prime viewing spot to see it!!

Did you know - At 9.1m tall, the "Bohemoth" is reported to be the Largest trebuchet in the Southern Hemisphere. And is a half scale model of the trebuchet at Warwick castle in England. WOAH!
