Women’s Disco Pop Rock Choir

Have you always wanted to sing but never quite taken the step?
Sisters of Neon is a new women’s choir presented by Merge Music, celebrating disco, pop and rock - built on strong vocals, rich harmonies and an energising musical experience.
Each rehearsal begins with a relaxed social half hour (you’re welcome to bring a drink), followed by an hour of focused, high-quality singing. We’ll incorporate light movement at times to bring the music to life.
The emphasis is on great singing, genuine fun and real community.
Led by Anna Honeychurch, founder of Merge Music, and Sangeeta Lee Jones.
Anna is an accomplished vocal and piano/keyboard educator, performer and choir director with decades of experience leading ensembles and community music programs, and co-director of the Material Girls women’s choir in Byron.
Sangeeta is a highly experienced vocal and piano/keyboard teacher and live performer who performed extensively with her original band in the UK, and more recently with local party-disco band Glitterati Riot.
Both are actively involved as tutors across a number of school music programmes throughout the Northern Rivers region.
Sisters of Neon operates as a sister choir to the Material Girls in Byron, with plans to collaborate for larger combined performances and special events across the region.
Foundation Term Fee: $130
No auditions required.
All experience levels welcome.
Rehearsals commence 21st April.
