Hi, I'm Shae, the face behind Magical Moments Wedding & Events Planner! 💕

For more than 15 years, I've worked in the hospitality, tourism and events industry, and throughout that time, one thing has always captured my heart... weddings.

There is something truly magical about watching months (or even years!) of planning come together as two people celebrate one of the happiest days of their lives. Being a small part of that journey has always brought me so much joy and fulfilment.

That passion inspired me to take the next step and create my own wedding planning business, where I can help couples enjoy the planning process instead of feeling overwhelmed. I love working alongside our incredible local venues, vendors and suppliers to create beautiful, personalised weddings that reflect each couple's unique story.

Enter the Save the Date.

A modern addition to wedding traditions, the save the date is your early announcement—sent months in advance to give guests time to plan, book travel, and mark their calendars. It’s simple, exciting, and often the very first glimpse into your wedding style.

The Wedding Invitation 💌

Long before elegant cardstock and hand-lettered names, wedding invitations were a matter of word of mouth. In times when many couldn’t read, families would rely on town criers to announce upcoming marriages—sharing the news far and wide, ensuring the community could gather to witness the union.

As literacy grew, so did the art of the invitation. By the 17th and 18th centuries, families began sending handwritten notes to formally invite guests, often sealed with wax for authenticity and importance. It wasn’t just about the details—it was about honour, respect, and the significance of the occasion.

The real transformation came with the invention of the printing press, making invitations more accessible and beautifully consistent. Soon, they became a reflection of status and style—featuring fine paper, intricate fonts, and carefully chosen wording that followed traditional etiquette.

Today, wedding invitations are more than just a piece of paper. Whether digital or printed, minimalist or elaborate, they set the tone for the entire celebration. They give guests their first glimpse into your day—your style, your story, your love.

I had the pleasure and privilege of being a part of their beautiful day as their On The Day Coordinator.
Not only did I get to see two people celebrate their love in front of family and friends but also see an amazing group of people help bring the their wedding day dreams to life.
