Before Bloom’n Events Co was transforming retail and civic spaces across WA, its Creative Director was activating them from the inside.

Tamara de Lange spent 16 years in the property sector, specialising in casual leasing aka pop up leasing — strategically activating underutilised retail space. Across a 23-year career spanning more than 30 shopping centres, alongside roles in specialised organic supermarkets, agribusiness and local government, one principle has remained constant:

Flashback to the City of Swan Avon Descent Festival, August 2019 — and what a beautiful whirlwind it was.

In just four hours, we welcomed over 500 children through our gardening workshops. Five hundred curious minds. Five hundred pairs of hands in the soil. Five hundred tiny veggie seedlings planted with pride.

There is something quietly powerful about a child pressing a seedling into earth for the first time. It’s messy. It’s hands-on. It’s real. And it sparks something deeper than a simple activity — it plants ownership, patience and wonder.

Our workshop offering for school holiday programs and civic festivals is designed to be engaging, educational and scalable. We create structured, professionally facilitated experiences that can move high volumes of participants seamlessly, without losing warmth or quality. Every child left with their own biodegradable planter pot — ready to go straight into the ground at home — extending the experience long after the festival gates closed.

From logistics and crowd flow to materials, staffing and creative direction, we handle it all. The result? Activated spaces filled with laughter, learning and proud little gardeners holding their first harvest-to-be.

One element we responded with was custom-built bar structures designed not just for this moment-but for longevity. Crafted with interchangeable signage and adaptable branding panels, these bars can evolve effortlessly from one theme, campaign to the next.
