Bessette began as a boutique bridal rental company, led by bridal expert Monica Bolton. After years o
f renting out high-end designer wedding dresses, Monica saw an opportunity the industry had long overlooked – past brides eager to resell their once-worn dresses, and savvy future brides searching for designer gowns at a more accessible price point. Bessette expanded into consignment and resale, allowing past brides to list their gowns and connect with new brides across Australia. That pivot not only shaped our identity as it grew to become 80% of our business. Today, Bessette is an entirely online bridal marketplace, bringing together sustainability, style, and the next chapter in circular bridal fashion.
