‘By The Book’ is a pair of song collections by two songwriters Jesse Williams and Jack Robbins. While having distinct personalities, the material has been brought together tonally by recording at Jesse’s old home studio in Anglesea, Victoria. The collections were then mixed and mastered in partnership to create a similar warm palette. Working together on this LP has seen a wonderful collaboration in creativity and instrumentation, forming two complimentary releases side by side.

Girlatones is the songwriting project of Victorian based musician/producer Jesse Williams.

Jesse has engineered and produced albums for Leah Senior, Grace Cummings, Traffik Island, Winter McQuinn and others. Jesse’s project, Girlatones, blends classic pop songwriting with a unique energy and lyrical humour. The project also features Leah Senior on vocals, guitar and piano. Drumming for this release was provided by Jack Robbins (Forever Son, Maxwell Brady Band) and Zak Olsen (Traffik Island, O.R.B., Frowning Clouds).

The release of two EP’s and two LP’s between 2017 and 2020 saw Girlatones perform with international acts such as Wreckless Eric, and find support from local and international indie labels, Lost And Lonesome (AUS) and Meritorio Records (EU).

Forever Son, the project of frontman Jack Robbins, creates lyric driven music lush with harmonies and textures rooted in folk and soft rock. Forever Son has performed across Australia and abroad extensively since 2012 and has three albums and multiple E.P’s out independently and with There & Back Again Records (AU).

"This July sees Lily Morris and Liam “Snowy” Halliwell come together across state lines to tour in the spirit of their recent collaborations and in anticipation of new albums from both artists later in 2025!

Snowy (Snowy Band, etc) will be road-testing songs from the recently recorded, brand new Snowy Band album, as well as cherry-picking songs from an extensive back catalogue spanning the past decade or so.

Lily Morris, who hails from Walbanga Country (Braidwood, NSW), is similarly performing a fresh batch of new songs from her anticipated full-length LP due out in the second half of the year.

See the pair perform separately, together and joined by some of the country’s best artists supporting at every stop as Lily Morris and Snowy join forces across generation and geography. Will the tour be a raging success, or will the pair’s demographic differences descend into bickering about which code of football is the sh*ttest and why Lily’s generation are too lazy to be able to buy a house."

BSS has gone into a bit of a hibernation as the chimneys kick into action and things start slowing down a bit but we're still here! I've been looking back thru the footage from of our last few shows. It's amazing how many great artists and songs have passed thru our little town since this project was started. What a treat!? Here's a few random clips for the archives
Better late than never I s'pose! 💕

Joining the bill on support are Canberra beloveds, dreamy shoegaze outfit .sound and Braidwood's hottest new indie-pop group

"Years into her career, Anika Ostendorf – the voice and producer behind Melbourne-via-Germany-via-Detroit indie-rock/alt-pop outfit HACHIKU – is embracing a new level of vulnerability on their second album, The Joys of Being Pure at Heart. The album’s marks a journey toward self-compassion, openness, and embracing life’s ups and downs featuring members of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and harpist Mary Lattimore."

We're excited to announce that .carlson (Naarm) & .band (Greece) will be hitting the National Theatre in Braidwood on Feb 16 with support from locals

"Our Carlson and Frenzee team up for 3 blistering nights as they tear through NSW this Feb!

Our Carlson launches the first single “Hyper Pop Money Song” off his debut album OC Spray. An uplifting Hyper Pop number through the lens of Our Carlson, dealing with issues of disability in a collapsing economy while finding income through alternative means in lieu of government support.

While new it kids, Frenzee’s fresh from their boot raising appearance at Meredith Music Festival showcase their recently released debut album, What’s Wrong With Me before they return to Crete, Greece."
