Elle May and her team have been bringing world class live music to Bendooley weddings for over ten years. Based in Bowral and deeply connected to the Southern Highlands wedding community, they specialise in curating bespoke music experiences that feel entirely personal to every couple they work with.

Acoustic soloists, string quartets, full bands, DJs, MCs and more, all handpicked from a carefully curated roster of Australia's finest performers.

Their most popular package at Bendooley flows beautifully from acoustic ceremony music right through to DJ reception, and if they suggest adding a saxophone, our advice is to say yes every time.

There is something about watching a dish come together that makes it taste even better.

At Leo's by Night, every plate is considered from the first element to the last. This week that includes our kingfish crudo with preserved lemon, fried capers, wasabi tobiko roe, ruby grapefruit and saffron emulsion, a beautifully prepared fish of the day and slow-roasted eggplant that is far more than the sum of its parts.

Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 6pm in our Cellar Door.

On Friday 26 June our Cellar Door transforms into an intimate dining space for one very special night. Our Executive Chef has designed a seasonal set menu crafted entirely around the wines of the Bendooley cellar, and our winemaker Jonathan will be your guide throughout the evening, walking you through each match and sharing the stories behind every pour.

The evening includes canapes on arrival, a three course set menu, a cheese course to finish and matched wines throughout.

Supplier Spotlight: Live Wedding Painting

Some wedding details you remember forever. This is one of them.

Teresa and Bernadette, sisters and live wedding portrait painters, bring something to a wedding day that is truly unlike anything else. While the celebration unfolds around them, they paint a realistic portrait of the couple live on canvas for all the guests to watch. By the end of the reception, a finished, heirloom quality artwork is presented to the couple to take home and treasure for a lifetime.

After six years and four hundred weddings, their process is as seamless as it is stunning. Equal parts entertainment and art, and the kind of thing guests talk about long after the day is done.

Congratulations to Josh and Nikita, who were married at The Book Barn here at Bendooley Estate during the most beautiful stretch of autumn we have seen in a while.

Bee Bright Fairy Lights has been weaving their magic across the ceilings of Bendooley since 2017, creating fairy light canopies that turn already beautiful spaces into something truly unforgettable. A starry sky overhead, the people you love around you, and a dance floor that feels like it was made for exactly this moment.

After seventeen years working weddings and events, Kat brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion to every single installation. Her approach has always been the same. A little extra sparkle, a touch of magic, and memories that last a lifetime.

We are so grateful to have her in our corner, and so are every couple who has ever looked up on their wedding night.

We are so excited to share something a little different happening at Bendooley Estate this winter.

Gathered Retreats is hosting their inaugural Readers Retreat right here, from Friday 3 to Monday 6 July, and it is everything a long weekend should be.

Arrival on Friday evening with champagne, cocktails and a grazing board, followed by dinner together in The Homestead dining room and an evening out in Bowral.

Saturday brings a full breakfast, a dedicated morning reading block, lunch at Harry's on Green Lane, a wander through Dirty Janes Antique Emporium and a formal dinner privately catered by our very own Bendooley kitchen.

Sunday is spent at The Book Barn, lunch surrounded by thousands of books, free time in Berrima and a final candlelit dinner at The Homestead. Monday is a slow farewell breakfast and the Southern Highlands all to yourself before the road calls you home.

Congratulations to Delaney and Jacob, who were married at The Book Barn here at Bendooley Estate back in April.

The were leaves turning golden and that beautiful seasonal light was settling over the grounds in the way it only does this time of year. Full of love, full of laughter and the kind of warmth that stays with a room long after the night is over.

What an absolute privilege to have been part of it. Congratulations you two.
