Last night was a great function at The Talbot Hobart with one of Tasmania’s favourite football sons in former Devonport and Richmond Tigers Legend MATTHEW RICHARDSON.

The crowd enjoyed an intimate evening and heard some great stories and enjoyed great access to the guest.

I wish to publicly apologise to the Bracknell Football Club for the non appearance of an engaged guest in former Collingwood and GWS Giants Player HEATH SHAW at their Team of the Century Function this evening.

It is apparent that Heath has accidentally forgotten his commitment, whilst travelling overseas.

Never in my time has this ever occurred and I’m deeply embarrassed by this situation. A refund of their deposit is in motion.

There isn’t much more I can say.

J W Promotions were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Jaimes helped us with an event that we never thought would be possible and made it a day and night that our club and broader community won’t forget for a very long time.

Not only was there a great turnout for the the game with lots of spectators and supporters from all around Circular Head., the Sportsman’s Night was a huge success for the club and we will be will be definitely working with J W Promotions in the near future.

We have not really stopped since but last weekend we had the pleasure of Swanny and Jaimes at the North Launceston Football club.

With a young list this year the priority was mentorship and a spirit lifter not necessarily the on field benefit. We got the lot, in spades. The great man (Dane that is, even kicked a sausage roll).

I’ve known Wiggo for years. We speak often. The ease and simplicity of organising the day and sporty thereafter is typical of his general demeanour and character. There is no push, no pressure and no on selling. The focus really is on backing the club and the players and having a good time.

We couldn’t speak highly enough of Swanny. He really is in his element on the microphone and engaging the room.

Frankly it was just a professional yet relaxed weekend. We have immediately begun discussions to work with J W Promotions again and would highly recommend them to any club looking to raise funds and spirit.

What a SUPER DAY / NIGHT doing deep coastal grassroots football at Irishtown Football Club Inc. in the Circular Head Football Association.

Driving in there wasn’t a parking spot available and it sat the scene for what was going to happen.

“STEVIE J” kicked 7 Goals, 2 Behinds and kicked 3 magic goals including one that was captured and is going viral.

Later that evening we did a “Sporty” with over 130+ present which went down as a blast 💥. Many thanks to Coastal Football Legend Paul Atkins who assisted in running the auction.

The support of the community was brilliant and many great memories made that won’t ever be forgotten.

“FEV” was great and he really got around the kids clinic early on and the boys loved playing along side him.
