Alli Watts Celebrant

Alli Watts Celebrant Heartfelt, beautiful and engaging ceremonies, just the way you picture it. We have two amazing sons and share a love of family, music, food and dogs.

Hi, I’m Alli & I’d love to marry you…

I’ll strive to make YOUR wedding just as YOU picture it, and personal to YOU. Whether you want a simple ceremony, or all the bells and whistles, I’ll create a wedding experience that is heartfelt, beautiful and engaging. I also understand the importance of what you’re about to do… I’ve been married to a wonderful partner for 28 years. We’ve travelled the worl

d together and love to spend time in one another’s company. I LOVE weddings. Organising people and life events for me, is a joy. I have a knack for reassuring people and the role of presenter is where I find peace and confidence in my own abilities. I’ve spent years perfecting my craft and take great reward in using my skills, to hone in, on making it all about YOU. I have 30 years of experience in the wedding industry as an MC, planner and singer. People have told me I’d be a great celebrant, so I thought, WHY NOT! I think I know plenty about successful weddings and events! I’ve been singing since I was 14 years old, professionally with my husband since we were 22. We’ve performed at over 1000 weddings, helping couples to have fun and enjoy celebrating with their family and friends, on one of the most important days of their lives. After 20 years as a primary school teacher, I created a well-being program for primary students, which focussed on fitness, resilience, performance and community. Those 14 years were incredibly rewarding and inspiring, but it’s time for the next adventure. I hope that when you marry the love of your life, you can enjoy your own shared loves together too.

After a very busy wedding season we decided to take a 3 week break in Japan. This is Kyoto-definitely a highlight location for me; stunning scenery and incredible views. We stumbled across this ready made ceremony space, complete with a love heart arbour, promises made with love padlocks and beauty as far as the eye can see.

Whether you’re dreaming of a ceremony that’s short & sweet, the whole shebang or something in between, the most important thing is to get married in a way that feels like YOU!

Saturday at Chateau Dore was nothing short of spectacular for Janine and Paul to say ‘I do’.

Grandchildren played happily amongst the autumn leaves while family and friends sat in white chairs on the lush green lawn, enjoying the warmth of the sun, the delicious food and beverage and a huge variety of live tunes from Andrew Watts and yours truly.

Janine & Paul chatted online for a few months before meeting in person. With a lot in common and a shared love of family, laughing and dogs, Janine quickly realised Paul was the male version of herself.

Janine & Paul included a hand fasting in their ceremony using Janine’s family tartan from Scotland. We decided an infinity knot suited them best-symbolic of the never ending connection and energy between a couple, who believe their love will transverse time itself.

Congratulations Janine & Paul & thanks for choosing me. It was such an honour ❤️

Chateau Dore was a stunning display of autumn beauty on Friday for Brittany and Riley’s wedding.

A swipe to the right brought these two beautiful souls together and they were a perfect match from the get go.

Riley was keen to showcase his hometown Bendigo to newcomer Brittany. Together and in each other’s arms, they watched the Easter fireworks from the lookout tower at One Tree Hill and had a wonderful time floating on tubes through the rapids at Rocky Crossing in Barnadown. They’ve shared many adventures together over the past 8 years and have a wonderful future to look forward to.

Congratulations Brittany & Riley and thanks so much for choosing me ❤️

Initially it was work that brought Courtney and Matthew to Bendigo from the US. Several visits later, having made some lifelong friends, they decided it was also the perfect spot to marry.

It was a bit like Gotham City with all the bat activity in Bendigo’s iconic Rosalind park, but with the legal words spoken and rings exchanged, it was time for Courtney & Matthew to celebrate with pizza and some of our regions best red wine

Congratulations Courtney & Matthew and thanks for choosing Bendigo & me ❤️

The grey skies had us all on our toes on Friday for Paige & Jez’s wedding at Bendigo’s Botanic Gardens. With perfect timing, the wind dissipated and the sun came out to play when it was time to say ‘I do.’

Paige & Jez used the natural and striking beauty of an enormous gum tree as the focal point for their ceremony and with the mum’s and bub’s from Paige’s ‘Mother’s group’ providing laughter & applause in all the right places, the afternoon unfolded beautifully.

Paige & Jez met at work. When Jez asked Paige where she’d worked previously, Paige responded with a joke. ‘I used to drive the bunny that goes around the greyhound track.’ Having no idea Jez had a background in greyhound racing and driving the bunny was a ‘real job,’ the line Paige had been using for years was blown and it was time for her to fess up.

With six years of amazing memories, a precious baby girl and a romance as each other’s ‘flayvourite,’ Paige & Jez have the most wonderful future to look forward to.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs G and thanks for choosing me ❤️

There was laughter and there were tears, but most of all, there was so much love for Em & Ben, as they said ‘I do’ on Saturday at the family home.

The sun came out to signal the presence of those attending in spirit and the rain held off until Em & Ben walked back down the aisle as Mr & Mrs. It couldn’t have been more perfect.

Em & Ben met during COVID times & communicated online for 100 days before meeting in person. They got to know each other deeply, with many funny moments along the way. The anticipation of their first kiss had them both feeling nervous, but left them impressed with each other’s kissing abilities.

Congratulations Em & Ben & thanks so much for choosing me ❤️

Just look at how well behaved Rex the pooch was for his mum and dad’s wedding last Friday. Good boy Rexy!

An Etsy witch buried with a raw sausage and a wish for the rain to stay away may have just been the reason for the dry weather on Friday at Moira Station. A sudden and unexpected whirly whirly swept through the ceremony space the day before, so everything had to be reset, including washing the bridal cars several times, but nothing could detract from the beauty of Moira station or the love between Steph & Nash.

Steph & Nash met at a mutual friends 18th birthday party. They spent the next 10 years in a long distance relationship. Together they survived and thrived through high school, Covid, building their first home and welcoming Rex the Hungarian Vizsla to join their family.

Friday was a stunning example of the love & commitment between two wonderful people, who see and want the best for each other.

Congratulations Steph & Nash & thanks for choosing me ❤️

The Bendigo Botanic Gardens was the place to be on Saturday.

This tender and heartfelt ceremony began with the gorgeous voice of Jessica McCarthy singing ‘A thousand years.’ A huge number of park goers were drawn to listen in and swept into the emotion and laughter of Anita & Dean’s ceremony, along with their nearest and dearest.

Wanting to have some fun with their vows, Anita & Dean decided to have a ‘shots’ competition to decide who would share first. So much fun.

Dean’s daughter encouraged him to set up a profile on a dating app. Feeling disillusioned, Dean decided he’d give it a go, when Anita’s photo popped up. Dean was taken aback with how stunning Anita was. When he looked for her name, it was recorded in code. Unaware it was simply because her profile wasn’t complete, Dean thought Anita may be AI generated and he was about to be scammed. Thank goodness he took a leap of faith and sent her a message.

Congratulations Anita & Dean & thanks for choosing me ❤️
