Protea season is here in full swing, and we couldn’t be happier 💛🌿 These beauties are blooming in abundance across the farm, each one with its own personality — from soft whites and velvety textures to striking deep pinks. There’s something so grounding about walking past row after row of them, watching the buds slowly unfurl into such powerful, intricate flowers.

Proteas have this incredible way of being both wild and elegant at the same time — strong enough to thrive in tough conditions, yet delicate and beautiful when they bloom. They’re the heart of so many of our bunches right now, paired with all the foliage and pops of colour that make them shine even brighter.

Feeling very grateful for this season, these flowers, and the chance to share their beauty with you 🌸✨

There’s something grounding about walking the rows, even when nothing big is happening. I wasn’t out here to harvest or hustle — just taking a quiet moment to check in, stretch the legs, and see what’s waking up. A few early blooms in hand, a little winter sun on my back, and a whole lot of hope for the season ahead.

Growing flowers isn’t always picture-perfect — it’s slow, unpredictable, and full of learning. But days like this, where I get to pause and see progress (even the tiny bits), remind me why I keep showing up 💐

There’s something peaceful about the quiet of winter — everything slows down, but the beauty is still here if you stop to look.
The proteas are blooming, the tanks are starting to fill and my best mate is keeping watch as always. 🌿☁️

Learning as I grow 🌿 One big lesson: you can never have too much foliage! I’ve had to invest in more, but I’m taking it slow and only using profits from the farm—which can be tough, but so worth it in the long run.

Today I had some wonderful help mulching the new spring beds (aka laying the groundwork for flower magic ✨). Planning out what’s going where has me so excited for what’s to come.
