This Homelessness Action Week (3-9 August), consider giving your team an experience that turns collective effort into real community impact.

Sadly, nearly 123,000 Australians are currently experiencing homelessness, with many more at risk due to housing stress, family violence, financial hardship, or unexpected life events.

Our Homelessness Care Box Creation experience brings teams together to assemble care boxes filled with essential items like hygiene products, clothing, and non-perishable food, each one finished with a handwritten message of encouragement. The boxes are distributed by our charity partner, The Good Box, reaching people experiencing homelessness, those at risk of housing instability, and victim-survivors of domestic violence right across Australia.

A huge thank you to the team at Owens & Minor for a wonderful session with us recently! 🧡

Together, the group created 40 Homelessness Care Boxes for people experiencing homelessness, and packed 20 Backpacks full of educational materials for local school kids, all while bringing genuine energy and generosity to the day. It was a pleasure getting to know the team and watching them throw themselves wholeheartedly into making a real difference for the wider community.

It's moments like these that remind us why we do what we do. To the team at Owens & Minor, thank you for showing up with open hearts and making such a lasting impact!

Did you know that nearly 123,000 Australians are currently experiencing homelessness, with many more at risk due to housing stress, family violence, financial hardship, or unexpected life events?

Last week, the Dexus team came together to pack 15 care boxes, which are now on their way to people doing it tough across Australia. Filled with quality essentials like food and hygiene products, each box also delivers something just as important: dignity, comfort, and the reassurance that someone cares.

Thank you to everyone at Dexus who showed up with such generosity and heart. 🙌

We know that volunteering is good for the community, but did you know the positive impact it has on your team?

The Deloitte Volunteerism Survey is clear:

→ 91% say volunteering improves engagement and their overall work experience

→ 87% say volunteering influences whether they join or stay with an employer

→ 49% build stronger connections with colleagues through volunteering

That last one is worth sitting with.

Nearly half of employees say volunteering is how they actually connect with the people they work with. Not the office Christmas party. Not the team lunch. Volunteering.

Because when people work toward something that genuinely matters, they show up differently. For the cause and for each other.

That is what well-designed corporate volunteering does. It does not just tick a CSR box. It builds the kind of team culture that keeps people around.

• 91% of employees say volunteering improves their overall work experience
• 87% say it influences whether they stay with their employer
• Employees who volunteer through work are 2.5 times more likely to feel engaged

But a program alone is not enough. The difference between a tick-box activity and something that genuinely moves the needle comes down to how it is designed.
