Wedding Tip Sunday....... Well, hello, and it is Sunday again. What, I hear you say? I know, right?? 😄

This week's tip is all about music for your ceremony. It's completely up to you what songs you would like played, but couples often ask me, "How many songs do we need?"

I have an awesome PA speaker system and love to play your music for you. No problem at all, I have everything downloaded, ready to go, and lined up in the correct order. Plus, when we're ready to begin the ceremony, I can simply fade out the music. Easy!!

As a guide, you'll generally need:
🎵 Guest arrival music (a playlist is perfect)
🎵 A song for the bridal party entrance
🎵 A song for the bride's entrance
🎵 Signing songs (usually 2 or 3 songs)
🎵 A celebratory song for your recessional as you walk back up the aisle as newlyweds

Of course, every ceremony is different. Some couples keep it simple with just a few special songs, while others create a full soundtrack to their love story.

My biggest tip? Choose songs that mean something to you both. Years from now, when you hear that song playing, it will instantly take you back to your wedding day and all those wonderful memories.

Happy Sunday everyone, and here is another fabulous wedding tip for you!

Couples love including their doggos in their wedding day, and why not? They are your number one supporter, think the world of you, and I am sure the feeling is mutual.

Dogs at weddings are super cute and can add so much fun and personality to your celebration. However, they can also be a little unpredictable! Make sure you have plenty of treats and water on hand, and most importantly, a trusted handler who can take charge when needed.

Did you know I adore dogs so much that I have even taken home two of my couples' dogs after the ceremony to look after overnight? It was so lovely catching up with the newlyweds the next day and hearing all about their celebrations, while their precious pups enjoyed a little sleepover with me and my little doggy Ella.

After all, weddings are about celebrating with those you love most, and for many couples, that includes their four-legged family members too! 🐾❤️

Happy Queensland Day everyone. 💙

I was lucky enough to spend part of today celebrating with a beautiful wedding at IndigiScapes Centre - Redland City Council in Capalaba. I absolutely love this little gem of a venue, not only is it surrounded by stunning natural beauty, but it’s also just a five-minute drive from home.

Today I had the honour of marrying the adorable Jason and Dianne. These two are truly made for each other in every way. Their connection is effortless, their laughter contagious, and the love they share shines brightly for all to see.

Life has a way of shaping us. It teaches us, challenges us, strengthens us, and often leads us down paths we never expected to travel. Yet through every twist and turn, it also has a remarkable way of bringing the right people together at exactly the right moment.

For Jason and Dianne, that couldn't be more true. Their journey brought them together when they least expected it, and from that moment, something truly special began. Watching them exchange their vows today, surrounded by family, friends, and the beauty of nature, was a wonderful reminder that some love stories are simply meant to be.

I also had the pleasure of doing all the ceremony styling, and along with me came my much-loved "Cody" arbour, beautifully dressed in soft hints of dusky pink and native florals. I have to say, I absolutely loved flexing my creative muscles again and bringing the vision to life. Styling weddings is such a rewarding part of what I do, and yes... I think I nailed it! 🤍🌿

Happy Thursday everyone, and an even happier Wedding Day to Heath and Brooke. 🤍

Gosh, these two booked me nearly 18 months ago for this very day, and phew... it finally arrived! And what a magical winter's day it was.

Just look at this super cute venue, Sunday Farmhouse. Absolutely adorable. I couldn't resist taking plenty of photos to showcase it. The whole place has the most beautiful vibe, rustic charm blended perfectly with country elegance.

I also had the honour of styling the ceremony space, and this gorgeous little hut was an absolute dream to work with. Sometimes a setting is so naturally beautiful that it doesn't need much, and this was one of those places. The classic combination of blue and white florals looked stunning against the rustic backdrop, creating a timeless and elegant feel that perfectly suited the day.

Brooke and Heath are such a gorgeous couple. They first met as teenagers, fell in love, and today that love became marriage. I absolutely love that their families were friends long before they were, helping lead them into each other's lives. Sometimes the best love stories begin with the people around us.

Their future together is incredibly bright, especially with their darling little son, Luca, by their side.

When Brooke made her entrance, the winter sun caught the sequins on her dress, and for a moment it looked as though a fairy princess was walking towards us. It was pure magic. Simply stunning.

Today was filled with love, laughter, happy tears, and the coming together of two beautiful families. What a privilege it was to stand beside Heath and Brooke as they began this next chapter as husband and wife.

Congratulations, Mr & Mrs Heath and Brooke. Wishing you a lifetime of love, adventure, and wonderful memories together. ✨

"I choose you again today, with all that we have lived, and all that still lies ahead."

Tonight I had the honour of officiating a beautiful Renewal of Vows ceremony for Karen and Rod as they celebrated 15 years of marriage together.

Surrounded by their children, grandchildren, family and friends, they renewed the promises they made all those years ago and reflected on a life built on love, resilience, loyalty and family.

The evening was made even more special as it also marked Karen's 60th birthday. A wonderful celebration of a remarkable woman whose life story is one of strength, courage and connection.

For Karen, this day carried an especially powerful meaning.
As a woman of the Stolen Generation, Karen's life began with separation, separation from culture, from family, and from the story every child deserves to grow up knowing.

It was not until the age of thirty-nine that Karen was finally able to meet her mother and her sisters. A reunion that brought connection, belonging and the opportunity to reclaim an important part of her story. It was so special to honour her sisters tonight and their contribution to Karen’s life story.

There was laughter, there were tears, and there was so much love in the room as family came together to acknowledge not only a marriage but the journey that has brought them to this moment.

A beautiful sand ceremony included children, grandchildren and family members, symbolising that this family has been built not only by birth, but by love, belonging and choice. You see, Karen and Rod have fostered over 38 children, ultimately adopting five precious souls.

Tonight, celebrated more than fifteen years of marriage. It celebrated family, reconnection, resilience, and the power of love to heal, unite and endure.

Congratulations, Rod and Karen. May your next chapter be filled with happiness, good health, treasured memories and many more reasons to choose one another every day.

Happy 15th Anniversary and Happy 60th Birthday, Karen. What a beautiful way to celebrate both.

Oh boy, I do love a wedding at The Little Laneway. Such a super cute venue that ticks so many boxes.

Today I had the absolute honour of marrying Tristian and Zanelle. These two sweethearts are so deeply in love and completely devoted to one another. An amazing ceremony, so much laughter, and happy faces all round.

Sometimes in life, you meet someone who quickly becomes more than you ever imagined possible. You see your future in their eyes. You see every possibility for your life’s journey unfolding before you.

Happy Sunday, and it's time for another wedding tip.

A good walking speed down the aisle is slow and steady, usually around half your normal walking pace.

A few simple tips:

* Take small steps
* Walk in time with the music if you can
* Pause briefly halfway to take it all in
* Keep your shoulders relaxed and smile at your partner

Most importantly, don’t rush. This is one of the most special moments of the day, and everyone wants to see you enjoy it. 🤍
