HAPPY MONDAY BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!

Connection and relationships are what I treasure most in life. I never take this for granted.

We often underestimate the impact we have on others. Every single person we encounter shapes us in some way.

I love connecting with everyone involved in your wedding. Obviously with YOU, but also your guests and vendors.

I especially love chatting with your grandparents if you are lucky enough to have them there. So many of these moments at your weddings I think about often.

The look in their eyes when they first see you, the hugs they give you, the conversations I have with them where they tell me how proud they are of you.

Think about all the connections in your life...tell them how much they mean to you.

SURPRISE! 🫢

One minute your guests think they're attending an engagement party, birthday celebration or family gathering...

The next minute they're watching you get married!
If you're thinking about planning a surprise wedding, here are my top 3 tips:

1) Create a believable cover story.

If the invitation feels suspicious, your guests will figure it out before the big reveal.

Pic: my actual 40th but I have married a couple on the bride's 40th as a surprise!!!

2) Keep the secret circle small.

The fewer people who know, the better your chances of pulling it off.

You must tell your vendors so they can plan accordingly!

Obviously both parties to a marriage must know as the one month requirement must be met.

3) Plan the reveal moment carefully.

The gasps, tears, laughter and shocked faces are often some of the most memorable moments of the entire day.

In the wedding featured the couple gave a thank you 'engagement speech' then then called me up to the front and made the announcement.

In others the couple have done it, groom has done it whilst bride getting changed or I have pretended to hang with the DJ and made the announcement.

Highly recommend a content creator to capture guest reactions!!!

Choose a celebrant who has pulled off many a surprise wedding and helps to plan everything to an absolute T!!!!

Gratitude...overload this week! I have received an enormous amount of love from hundreds of people and I honestly can't thank you all enough.

Imagine you are at your booth at a bridal expo ( expo in fact)

Imagine you get an email from telling you have been voted No.1 Celebrant in SA

Imagine your best friend who has the booth next to you, iis in the toilet at that exact moment

Imagine you show her your phone when she gets back from the toilet.

Imagine big screams and hugs!

Imagine the expo organiser walks past at that exact moment and finds out what the commotion is about.

Imagine she grabs the microphone to announce it.

Imagine you try to stop her because other beautiful celebrants are there and you don't want it announced over the loud speaker.

Imagine she does it anyways.

Gratitude OVERLOAD this past week.

Travelled to sunny Melbourne to attend what would become the best conference I have ever attended!

Sunday wedding expo run by . Caren is a beautiful soul and lovely person. Loved chatting with all of you and hanging out with actual bestie and my vendor besties (omg too many to tag but .possingham_celebrant gets a special mention for buying me champagne.

Speaking of champagne my husband arranged a celebration last night with champagne and pizza. He got my beautiful parents to come over too. And we toasted...to something that will be revealed soon. But I am crying happy tears writing this.

I don't have the words to express the gratitude in my heart for all my couples and the beautiful people around me. I really am blessed with the best.
