Save this for the next time your brain decides to invent a 1am wedding disaster or if you’re currently Googling “what happens if my wedding vendor ghosts me?” 👀
😅😅😅

Reminder: “what ifs” are inevitable, the panic doesn’t have to be.

Your only job is to get married.
We’ll handle the “oh sh*t.”

‘Traditional’ is optional, dessert is not.
Consider this your permission to ditch the wedding cake if it isn’t that important to you! 😘🍰

Put your phone down Mum. You don’t want to miss this.

… Think again. The biggest issue for most couples, is finding the time.

Let me tell you why:

The average wedding has 8-12 vendors and most brides will source 5 quotes for EACH.

That’s 60 emails - without you even having a single conversation. And when *most* of those vendors eventually reply - you then end up with 30 quotes to compare…

Excel guru’s love the spreadsheet part that’s next…. And the other 50% of people don’t - but do it because at this point it’s a must.

A few more emails back and forth probably lead to a couple of consult calls (normally about an hour).

So if two potential vendors stand out as potentials - they need to find another 20ish hours on top of the emails there (2 consults per preferred vendor in each category of 8-12 vendors).
….
And this is just Round One: booking. 🥊

Think about a holiday. You happily spend money on the flights, the hotel, the experiences and the dinners, because you’re investing in memories you’ll have forever. You’re not sitting there stressing about spending the money; you’re focused on making sure the experience is worth it.

Your wedding deserves to feel the same.

You’re investing in an experience and memories you’ll carry with you for the rest of your lives.

So nah… spending money, is not the stressful part for most. The stressful part for most of my couples, is having to spend all your time figuring out how to make it happen.

Planning a wedding is someone’s full-time job for a reason (hello, it’s mine 👋🏻)

Grooms, consider this your official pre-wedding PSA. 🤵‍♂️

Know where you’re meant to be, pack the second shirt, get in the bloody photos, don’t disappear with the boys for 45 minutes. And for the love of God, buy a signature cologne. 😂

You’ve spent months hearing about the flowers, the seating plan and the napkins…. Now it’s your turn to have some main-character energy!

You’re not just the bloke who turns up at the altar. It’s your wedding too - act like it 🤍

Some wedding expenses are forgotten by the time the honeymoon starts, and others have your guests talking about how great your wedding was…

The common theme with these 5 👆🏻, is they all make the day run smoother, and be enjoyed more by everyone - meaning they’re a guaranteed bang for your buck!

So your reminder is this:
The things your guests remember aren’t always the things that cost the most;
sometimes the best wedding investments are the ones that create comfort, reduce stress, and keep the party going. 😌🙏🏻🪷

You hired a planner…? So you accidentally adopted a professionally trained problem solver with a concerning level of emotional attachment to you and all of your people on your wedding day x

Advice I’d give you as a wedding planner (if I wasn’t afraid of hurting your feelings)

• Your guests do not care about the pleat direction of your napkins. They care about food arriving before they’re feral.

• If your timeline doesn’t allow you to eat, sit down, or breathe... it’s not “efficient.” It’s chaotic.

• The bigger the bridal party, the bigger the babysitting roster.

• DIY only “saves money” if your time, patience, storage space and sanity are worthless…. They’re not.

• No one remembers perfection. They remember tension... or joy. Choose wisely

• If you don’t schedule 10 minutes alone after the ceremony, you’ll spend your reception saying, “Wait… what just happened?”

• If you’re fighting about chair colours at midnight, you’re not decisive. You’re exhausted. Go to bed.

• A wet weather plan isn’t negative energy. It’s emotional insurance.

And the big one…. please - for the love of all things holy - decide what actually matters to you BEFORE opening Pinterest.

Because you might think you want “laid back and minimal”……and 27 minutes later you’re pricing custom monograms, a champagne tower and a cake taller than your fiancé.

I’ve seen it. Repeatedly!

Set your budget before you scroll.
And once you’ve made a decision? Stop doom-scrolling.

Your future self will thank you.

Follow for more wedding truths you didn’t ask for… but absolutely need. 🫶
