Congratulations to Rock Hard! The Geological Cabaret by Penny Magnetica who was selected as the 2026 winner of the Science at the Fringe Award, supported by Inspiring SA!

Bringing science storytelling to the burlesque stage, our judges lauded the show for finding the intersection between science communication and cabaret.

“An excellent show with heaps of science and lots of geology puns. Foundational geological concepts were at the core throughout. The performer was funny and bold and had the audience highly engaged. An enjoyable learning experience!”
