Es war wohl ca. 1997, dass Dennis Wellpott mit ein paar Kumpels aus dem Kreise Minden in das schöne Münster fuhr um jemanden zu besuchen, den er bis da noch nicht kannte. Jones und stand auch während der nachfolgenden Besuche eigentlich immer hinter 2 Turntables und einem Mixer. Von dort aus mutierte dann der vom Plattenvirus befallene Dennis allmählich zu DJ Scrub. Den Style in seinem Case, welch

es er mitschlört, umschreibt er mit den Worten "einfach gute Tanzmusik".Hauptsache es gibt was leckeres auf die Teller- oder natürlich auch auf die Ohren. Vorbilder und Einflüsse sind daft punk, phuture, the prodigy, dj bam bam, dj funk, fast eddie, infected mushroom, guns n..roses, rage against the machine,
life of agony, the doors, wu tang clan, thumb, sick of it all and last but not least Oliver E. Jones
Wie man sieht liegen DJ Scrubs musikalische Wurzeln und Geschmack auch durchaus in wohl unerwarteten Gefilden, was seinen Leitgedanken, die Musik in ihrer gesamten Vielfältigkeit zu leben und zu erleben, unterstreicht. Und das wird er!!!
