استقبل سعادة سيف محمد المدفع، الرئيس التنفيذي لمركز إكسبو الشارقة، وفد رجال الأعمال من دلتا نهر اليانغتسي (الصين) يوم الاثنين الموافق 13 أكتوبر. وجرى خلال اللقاء بحث فرص التعاون في مجالات الطاقة المتجددة، والتكنولوجيا البيئية، والابتكار التقني المتقدم، وتطوير سلاسل الإمداد الصناعية، بمشاركة كبار التنفيذيين والرؤساء التنفيذيين من كبرى الشركات الصينية.
H.E. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, welcomed the Yangtze River Delta Business Delegation from China on Monday, 13 October. The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for cooperation in renewable energy, environmental technology, high-tech innovation, and industrial supply chain development, with the participation of senior executives and CEOs from leading Chinese companies.

Expo Centre Sharjah is the premier exhibition facility in the UAE that acts as a gateway to the entire Middle East and CIS regions and the Subcontinent. It is the first established trade fair centre in the country and is considered a pioneer in its field.

يعتبر مركز إكسبو الشارقة من اقدم مراكز المعارض في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة ويعد حلقة الوصل بين كافة دول الشرق الأوسط ودول شرق ووسط آسيا ،ويعد من المراكز الرائدة على مستوى المنطقة.
ساهم المركز منذ إنشائه في عام 1977 بوضع إمارة الشارقة على خارطة صناعة المعارض الدولية ، وعلى مر السنين أصبح المركز من أهم المراكز العالمية في إستضافة المعارض الدولية سواء التجارية منها أو الإستهلاكية.
وفي سبتمبر من عام 2002 تم إنتقال المركز إلى مقره الحالي وزادت مساحات العرض فيه ، وتم توفير كافة المستلزمات التقنية والمتطورة لتحسين آدائه وهذا ما عزز مكانته في خدمة المشاركين في المعارض المقامه على أرضه.
وأصبح المركز من أهم المرافق العالمية التي تعنى بإقامة المعارض الدولية وتنظيم المؤتمرات وغيرها من الأحداث المماثلة.
