We are excited to welcome Dr. Temitope OLORUNFEMI to the stage at DSC Next 2026 in Amsterdam!

Dr. Olorunfemi is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science whose research focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence to advance women’s and girls’ health. Originally from southwestern Nigeria, she is dedicated to developing multilingual health-based educational applications that raise cervical cancer awareness and enable personalized risk estimation.

Her work bridges technology and public health by communicating vital health information in native languages, empowering communities, and supporting informed health decisions.

Her expertise spans machine learning, data science, , data analytics, and large language models. A recipient of the prestigious AAUW Fellowship (2021–2022), she comes from a family of researchers and educators and actively promotes interdisciplinary collaboration.

We look forward to her insights and the important conversations her work will inspire at DSC Next 2026.

Physicists at the University of Sydney have achieved a major milestone by creating a universal logic gate inside a single atom, using the Gottesman-Kitaev-Preskill (GKP) code—often called the “Rosetta Stone” of quantum computing.

✅ Entangled vibrations of a trapped ion reduce the number of physical qubits required
✅ Tackles one of the biggest hurdles in scaling quantum computers
