What are we looking forward to this season? ✈️🌍

Quite a lot, actually! We’re starting the season with confirmed bookings for 2027, promising new enquiries from both the Nordics and other parts of Europe, and several exciting projects already underway 🤩

🏎️ Formula 1 in Abu Dhabi
F1 ticket sales are going well, and we’re very happy to be moving forward with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in December! The concert line-up is also growing, with Zara Larsson, Imagine Dragons, The Chainsmokers and The Script among the artists announced so far.

🌍 Venue sourcing worldwide
We’ve continued working with several venue sourcing projects throughout the summer, both here in Dubai and internationally, including Morocco and Turkey. This autumn, we’ll also be putting even more focus on networking and growing our global venue sourcing business.

⛳ Golf for the new season
Golf is looking promising for the season ahead! We have access to agent rates at golf courses across the UAE, and our golf packages remain available for the coming season.

Welcome to the 2026/2027 season! ☀️ ✈️ 🇦🇪

After a wonderful summer in Sweden filled with nature, great weather, family and friends, we are back in the UAE and ready for a new season! 🤩

The situation here has remained calm for several months, new requests for 2027 are already coming in, and we are feeling positive about the season ahead.

✈️ We’re also excited to welcome Etihad’s new direct route between Gothenburg and Abu Dhabi from December, operating four days a week until the end of March - and hopefully beyond! Abu Dhabi is a fantastic destination for both incentive and conference groups.

So, what’s our focus for this season?
👥 Large groups of 150+ guests
🌴 Flexible UAE packages for groups of up to 100 - with the same great-value prices
🌍 Global venue sourcing for corporate clients and organisations, with transparent and complimentary contracting of hotels and event venues worldwide

We’re really looking forward to a new season, new projects and welcoming more groups to the UAE! 🤩🇦🇪

June 2026 - What a month! 🥳🌴✈️

June has taken us across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Stockholm and beyond, filled with hotel visits, venue sourcing, client meetings, networking events and new bookings.

🏨 We've explored hotels including Palazzo Versace, Ritz-Carlton DIFC, St. Regis Corniche Abu Dhabi, Andaz Capital Gate and several other fantastic properties.

🌍 We've worked on venue sourcing projects in Morocco, Spain and Jordan, attended industry webinars and met with hotel partners across multiple destinations.

🥂 We celebrated Eid Al Adha, the Islamic New Year and Sweden's National Day together with the Swedish Business Council and the Swedish Ambassador in Dubai.

📈 We're also very happy to have secured new bookings for late 2026, and signed a larger Dubai group for 2027.

🏎️ Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticket sales have also been keeping us busy, and we're happy to see strong interest in this year's event.

⚽ June also brought World Cup excitement, packed venues across the UAE and growing optimism as more companies are once again planning meetings, incentives and events.

🤝 We also saw renewed hope for greater stability in the region - encouraging news for both the people living here and the outlook for Q4.

🇸🇪 The month ended with M&I Stockholm - via the venue sourcing concept we enjoyed new connections from across Europe, conversations about the UAE market, early Midsummer at Eric Ericsson Hall, dancing at Berns, time in the archipelago and the privilege of combining work and networking with Swedish summer.

Now it's time for a short summer break and a little pause from our social media channels. We look forward to what's next! ☀️🇸🇪🌴

Event Flashback - Bringing Europe together during the FIFA World Cup 2022 ⚽🥳🌍

This week, as the football world once again turns its attention to the FIFA World Cup, we're looking back at a memorable incentive programme we delivered in Dubai during the 2022 tournament for a European company in the sports and retail industry.

The programme brought together 150 participants from across Europe for several days of meetings, team activities and unique experiences, combined with the excitement of attending a World Cup match in Qatar.

Highlights from the programme included:
⚽ Beach Olympics at Sofitel Dubai The Palm
🛥️ A full-day conference programme onboard a yacht in Dubai Marina, including lunch and a custom-designed quiz
🏛️ A walking tour and treasure hunt through Old Dubai

Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2026 - Tickets available! 🏎️🏁

The Formula 1 season finale returns to Abu Dhabi from 3-6 December 2026, and tickets are already in high demand.

We are pleased to offer Marina Grandstand tickets for this year's event, including exclusive one-day tickets that are not available for purchase online. All tickets are for the Marina Grandstand.

This year's entertainment lineup is already looking impressive:

Expo City Dubai 🌍🥳

Here in Dubai, Expo City is quickly becoming one of the UAE's most important destinations for exhibitions, conferences and events.

The venue hosted both WHX (formerly Arab Health) and Gulfood earlier this year, and GITEX is set to take place here in December 2026. As Dubai's new major exhibition hub, Expo City is gradually taking over many of the large-scale events previously hosted at DWTC.

What we like about Expo City is the combination of large, modern exhibition halls, unique meeting and event venues, direct Metro access, and the onsite Rove Hotel. Some of the standout venues include:

Ask the Owner: Linda's UAE Update for Q4 2026 & Q1 2027 🌍✈️🌴

Over the past few weeks, I've been speaking with hotel partners, event suppliers and local contacts across the UAE.

While the overall situation remains uncertain until a more permanent resolution is reached, daily life here has been remarkably calm since April and May. The authorities continue to impress with their focus on safety, stability and keeping the country running smoothly.

We're starting to see some international markets gradually return, traffic has picked up again in areas like Business Bay and Dubai Marina, and many tourism businesses have chosen to stay and wait out the situation rather than leave.

At Clever Travel, we're once again receiving enquiries for late 2026 and 2027, although many clients are still waiting for travel advisories to be updated before making final decisions.

There is cautious optimism across the industry for Q4. Major events such as GITEX, ADIPEC and Formula 1 Abu Dhabi are still planned to go ahead, and several airlines are expected to gradually resume services to the UAE and the region from July onwards.

While challenges remain, there is certainly more optimism today than there was just a few months ago! 💙💜
